— "Bishop Savva of Zelenograd, Deputy chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate, pointed out western Ukraine's attempts to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).

Volodymyr Remenyak, Head of the Gorodok City Council in the Lviv Region, signed a decree which was later published on Facebook. The document, dated February 28, is called "On the prohibition of the activities of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate on the territory of the Gorodok City Council in the Lviv region." The activity of the canonical Church in the decree is described as "presenting a danger to the national security of Ukraine."

On the Great Lent eve, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, addressed the faithful with a blessing for a special prayer rule for the sake of ending the war and establishing peace in Ukrainian land, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department.

According to the Archpastor, “the good prospect of Great Lent is to learn to live in peace with God and in harmony with one another”.

🇨🇦 The Russian Orthodox Church of St. Sophia in Victoria, B.C. was vandalized by anti-Russian thugs earlier this morning. Red paint was splattered on the door to the parish.

This follows a similar russophobic attack on a Russian church in Calgary, a few days ago.
