I also find mentioning of Iran quite interesting, and change of mind of Trump might have something to do with his failure in Iran and internal problems. He needs a win, that he will not get. Still, Russia demonstrates readiness for diplomacy. Slamming the door is easy, as well as escalating the conflict.
