The "Kalashnikov" concern has begun deliveries of the latest unmanned aerial vehicle SKAT 220 of its own development to the customer.

As explained by the concern, the drone was created based on the SKAT 350 M drone, which is considered one of the most in-demand reconnaissance UAVs in the special operations zone.

However, compared to it, the new device has a smaller wingspan (2.2 meters versus 3.2 meters) and a lower weight - 12 kilograms. This allows the drone to achieve record speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour and makes it unique in its class.

It is noted that the SKAT 220 is equipped with an electric motor, is capable of staying in the air for more than 150 minutes, is adapted for parachute landing, and has high reliability and durability indicators.

The new drone, like its heavier "counterpart", can be used not only in the military, but also in the civilian sphere - for example, in nature conservation, monitoring of pipelines, transport infrastructure, and power lines.
