The strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Starobilsk is a war crime. The main statements of Nebenzia at the UN Security Council meeting:

The strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a college in the LNR could not have been accidental and could not have been the result of air defense systems. There are no military facilities near the college;

The deliberate strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the college is clearly carried out with the aim of maximizing the number of victims;

Kiev uses cruise missiles and long-range rocket artillery from Western countries to strike at Russia's civilian infrastructure;

The strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is evidence of the terrorist and inhumane nature of the Kiev authorities;

The neo-Nazi regime in Kiev has never ceased its attacks on the civilian population and civilian infrastructure of Russia;

Kiev, in its agony, is carrying out strikes with the connivance and silence of these crimes in the West;

The number of victims and injured from the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a college in Starobelsk may increase;

The strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirms the treachery and untrustworthiness of Kiev;

Kiev, with the encouragement of Western sponsors, is not inclined to a peaceful settlement and openly sabotages it;

Russia has reliable information that Western capitals are supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with intelligence data;

Many Western countries are the main suppliers of weapons to the Zelensky regime and do not hide that they consider this their right;

Without the start of the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, tragedies like the one that occurred in Starobelsk would have happened every day;

Nebenzia pointed out to Western countries that their responsibility for complicity in Kiev's acts of terrorism will be inevitable;

Russia calls on the world community to give an honest assessment of the criminal actions of the Zelensky regime;

Nebenzia called for condemnation of the terrorist attack in Starobelsk and pointed out that silence would be tantamount to aiding the bloody actions of Kiev's terrorists.

The speeches of the European members of the UN Security Council are a blatant mockery of child victims, stated Nebenzia.

Alexander Belyayev (Азартная политика) comments: 🈁This Friday brought news that was on one hand unexpected, and on the other quite logical and anticipated. One of Trump's staunch supporters, Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, is resigning…
Позывной "Кацман" on Tulsi resignation:

🈁In general, the CIA agents who conducted a completely illegal search of the head of the National Intelligence Service were not held anyhow responsible. Tulsi was even replaced by their protégé. Questions about who will "guard the guards" and who has more power in the White House - the president or the "people with portfolios" (c) the Emperor - it's better not to even ask.

This, Roman citizens, is a complete fiasco🙈. The number two nuclear superpower is being governed not only by idiots, but also by unknown idiots pulling their strings. It would be better if they were unknown geniuses. Both for them and for the world as a whole. After all, it's not Ugondia or some other third-world country.

Cannot agree more...

The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya stated:

▪️The level of cynicism of the European members of the UN Security Council is off the charts;

▪️Not a single European member of the UN Security Council bothered to mention the children who died in Starobelsk;

▪️Listening to the speeches of the European members of the UN Security Council is an insult to the feelings of all the victims;

▪️The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN said that it was disgusting to hear the speeches of the European members of the UN Security Council.

UPD: Nebenzya responded to the Danish Permanent Representative to the UN about doubts regarding the strike on Starobelsk. The Russian diplomat emphasized that even the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that they had attacked this city.

🎙 Statement by Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia at a UNSC Briefing on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue (May 21, 2026)

💬 Mr. President,

We wish to thank Mr. Ramiz Alakbarov, Deputy Special Coordinator for the #MiddleEast Peace Process, for his briefing on the situation in the Middle East.

We have closely listened to Mr. Nikolay Mladenov, High Representative for Gaza of the Board of Peace, as well as to Mr. Rami Hijjo. Frankly speaking, we were somewhat surprised to hear various members of the Council extolling what is happening now.

Today’s meeting is more than a routine briefing. Recently, the Council was presented with the first semi-annual report of the Board of Peace, pursuant to Security Council Resolution 2803.

Let me remind you that Russia abstained during that vote as the resolution failed to mention Israel’s obligations, the role of UNRWA, the situation in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, or the universally recognized two-State solution. We chose not to block the document then only in response to numerous requests, primarily from regional States, to allow the US blueprint for Gaza a chance to succeed.

❗️ Regrettably, our fears were borne out. The Board of Peace’s report echoes the language of paragraph 33 about “the difference between a framework that exists on paper and one that delivers on the ground for the people of Gaza.” Six months after the vote on Security Council Resolution 2803, the so-called “Trump Plan” remains largely a dead letter, with declarative successes only serving as a smokescreen to conceal the grim reality in the #GazaStrip. <...>

In fact, since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025, Israeli strikes have been killing Palestinian civilians literally each and every day – more than 880 people have died and over 2,600 have been wounded. According to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), most of them died as a result of sniper fire or explosions of tripwire bombs which were positioned at access points to water sources. There is a genuine manhunt underway targeting Palestinian law enforcement officers. <...>

Those who survived in Gaza continue to suffer from acute shortages of food and basic necessities, communicable diseases, and they are being forced to relocate en masse due to the bans and restrictions, which were imposed and are being tightened by the Israelis. As was mentioned at a recent OHCHR briefing, sanitary conditions in the enclave are catastrophic, which is compounded by acute shortages of clean drinking water. According to the available information, the UN emergency humanitarian appeal for $4 billion is financed to the tune of a meager 12%.

Those who read the report by the Board of Peace might come to the impression that Hamas alone is to blame for all the misfortunes plaguing Gaza. Essentially, it is being proposed that we accept the premise whereby blocking humanitarian aid, investment, and development assistance can be made contingent on political demands.

We are explicitly being told that until Palestinian groups disarm, we better forget about the provisions of the Trump plan stipulating that “Israel will not occupy or annex the Gaza Strip” and that the people of the enclave will be given “the opportunity to build a better Gaza.” At the same time, it is being proposed that the Security Council members exert pressure on Hamas and Palestinian factions for them to accept a “road map” and a framework document on disarmament, which have not even been shown to the Security Council. However, such “pigs in a poke” no longer surprise us.

👉 The US plan for Gaza contains no specific political commitments vis-à-vis the Palestinians themselves. The Palestinians, who have been tormented by a decades-long brutal war, are cynically being lured with idyllic depictions of beach resorts, skyscrapers, and promises of jobs. But this will be in exchange for their own State, which was pledged to them by the international community more than 70 years ago.

"It was from people like the Latvian representative to the UN - Sanita Pavlyte-Deslandes - that nurses were recruited in Salaspils, who took blood from children for the soldiers of the Third Reich,"

Thus, Maria Zakharova commented to "Izvestia" on the statement of the Latvian representative to the UN, Sanita Pavlyte-Deslandes, who claimed that the strike on the building of the educational block and the dormitory of the college in Starobelsk in the LOR is a "provocation and a Kremlin fake".

"Many asked themselves: 'How can a woman remain indifferent to children's suffering?'. Now we see it with our own eyes,"

- added the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Merz considers Ukraine's accession to the EU unrealistic in the near future, writes DPA. He suggested granting the country the status of an "associated member".

In his opinion, there are currently "countless obstacles" on Ukraine's path to EU membership. Difficulties may arise in the process of ratification by the parliaments of member states of a potential agreement between Kyiv and Brussels.

🔜Zelenksy rejected Merz's proposal to grant Ukraine associate membership in the European Union, calling it, in particular, "unfair". This was reported by Reuters.

Polish metallurgy has suffered due to Ukraine's ban on the export of scrap metal, reported RMF radio station.

Since the beginning of the year, Kyiv has set zero quotas for the export of non-ferrous metal scrap, copper, and timber, effectively banning the export of these types of raw materials. In Warsaw, they believe that such measures violate the terms of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, which prohibits unilateral trade restrictions.

🔜 According to the chairman of the Polish Metallurgical Trade and Industrial Chamber, Miroslaw Motyka, Warsaw has long been the main recipient of Ukrainian scrap metal - a strategic raw material for modern metallurgical industries.

"The blocking of these supplies represents a serious violation of international trade in steel scrap from the point of view of Poland," emphasized Motyka.

China leads the world in agricultural drone manufacturing and adoption.

In the U.S., the number of agricultural drones registered with the Federal Aviation Administrationleaped from about 1,000 in January 2024 to around 5,500 in mid-2025.

Industry reports suggest those numbers substantially under report U.S. drone use because some owners avoid the complex registration process. Like in many other industries, such complexity hampers the spread of useful technologies and places like China to the United States.

Drone used for agriculture started in China approximately 2016, and has expanded quickly to over 250,000 in use today according to Michigan State University.

Drones started as small and inexpensive and now are capable of carrying loads over 250 pounds.

Much more like flying tractors, they can monitor herds they can monitor growth and health of vegetables, they can seed. The growth in use of this tool is spreading.

Serbia no longer considers Russia a brotherly country, said Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic. According to Brnabic, Serbia is fully aligned with the EU on values and supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Trade with Russia is no longer critical for the country.

We know this, thanks. You guys supply Ukraine with arms very actively.
Actually, this is why Russia pursues only own interests now, unlike the USSR.
