Brief Frontline Report – April 10th, 2026

Summary by Marat Khairullin and Mikhail Popov.

Part 1

Message from the Russian Ministry of Defense: "By decisive actions of units of the 15th Tank Regiment of the 'North' Group, control has been established over the settlement of Miropolskoe in Sumy Oblast. Units of the group continue to expand the security zone on the territory of Sumy and Kharkov Oblasts. The troops are advancing daily, pushing the enemy away from the state border to ensure the safety of the civilian population."

On the central sector of the Sumy direction, the "North" army group is preparing new bridgeheads along the state border.

The enemy, using the terrain, has created a branched defensive line in this sector, relying on front-line supply routes and riverbeds. The main transport artery is the T-19-01 front-line supply route, running along the Rybitsa and Psel rivers. Along this highway, relying on settlements, defense areas have been created, connected by a network of roads into defensive hubs that are deployed facing north and east, forming an echeloned defense system (Miropole - Olshanka - Osoevka) with the ability to be supplied from the depth of the territory and with protected flanks. The left flank is covered by the Khrapovshchina - Pisarevka sector, while the right flank is protected by the Miropolskoe - Ugroedy - Turya sector.

To expand the buffer zone and destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in this sector, the command of the "North" Group is conducting wide flanking maneuvers around this sector. On March 31, the settlement of Malaya Korchakovka was liberated, threatening the enemy's left flank. On April 10, by forces of the 15th Tank Regiment of the 69th Guards Motorized Rifle Division, control was taken over the settlement of Miropolskoe (50°56′32″ N 35°18′54″ E, population 158 in 2001), which was part of the flank defense area system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces protecting the Miropole-Osoevka defensive line.

Brief Frontline Report – April 10th, 2026

Summary by Marat Khairullin and Mikhail Popov.

Part 2

Message from the Russian Ministry of Defense: "Over the past 24 hours, as a result of ongoing offensive operations by units of the 'South' Group of forces, the settlement of Dibrova in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated."

Units of the "South" and "West" Groups are delivering alternating strikes against the base of the enemy's defensive salient on the Slavyansk sector of the Donetsk direction. On March 28, units of the "West" Group liberated the settlement of Brusovka at the northern base of the salient. On April 10, assault units of the "South" group liberated the settlement of Dibrova (48°45′52″ N 37°49′58″ E, population 22 in 2001), located at the southern base of the salient. The Fedorovka 2 bridgehead toward the Seversky Donets-Donbas canal has been expanded, in the direction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense area of Yurkovka (not to be confused with Yurkovka on the Zaporozhye direction).

Thus, through wide flanking envelopments, the Russian Armed Forces are reaching the watershed ridge of the Bakhmutka and Kazenny Torets rivers, into the zone of the enemy's blocking positions located between the defensive lines protecting the Slavyansk sector, whose axis lies on the Nikolaevka - Rai-Aleksandrovka line.

Ukrainian military shot down Iranian 'Shahid' drones with their interceptors in several Middle Eastern countries during the Iran-Iraq War.

This was stated to journalists by Zelensky, according to Associated Press.

"This was not about a training mission or exercises, but about support in creating a modern air defense system that actually works," said Zelensky.

In exchange, Ukraine receives weapons to protect its energy infrastructure, oil, diesel fuel, and financial preferences.

Zelensky, the perpetual child waving his arms in the air to get noticed.

If this actually happened, there would have been some evidence presented.

Also, for the people who support Ukraine but criticize Trump for attacking Iran, take notice that Zelensky encouraged Trump to act on Iran and was falling all over himself to offer support. For these people, they need to realize that Project Ukraine and Trump's adventures in the Middle East are not actually separate entities.

It's actually a mistake that people make in believing that there is a benevolent and an evil form of American Imperialism, the former being the pro-Ukrainian, pro NATO flavor and the latter being the Trumpian style. They are actually married to one-another, and even Trump's critics on Iran in the mainstream media don't try too hard to call into question the view that Israel is our ally or that Iran is an "evil regime that must be vanquished."

АДЕКВАТ Z writes,

All three Baltic chihuahuas have issued a joint statement: they did not and have never opened their airspace to the khokhols, they have nothing to do with anything that happened in it, and please don't hit them. Announcing the statement apparently wasn't enough; to be safe, they also handed a paper copy to our diplomats on Baltic soil. And the Estonian breed of chihuahua, presumably for extra safety, separately stated that it does not plan to try and seize tankers carrying our oil, because it can well imagine which way that might backfire.

On the one hand, this means that the consequences of inappropriate behavior have been communicated to all the aforementioned victims of evolutionary dead ends—and the recipients have taken them, at least outwardly, seriously enough to pretend to be doormats. On the other hand, the forces that wish to escalate further (and these are not just the khokhols; there are plenty of them in Europe too), using our signal to the Baltics, have now had the opportunity to see for themselves: the point of no return, beyond which our forceful response will follow—there it is. And thus to finally understand exactly what needs to be done to provoke our strike directly against the Euro-scum.

And despite all the outward submissiveness of the chihuahuas, this option remains on the table on the European side and could be activated at a moment they deem optimal. So one cannot consider the matter completely closed.

Bloomberg's Russian Seaborne Crude Export Report (week ending April 5th 2026)

Russia is earning more from its oil exports than at any time since the early weeks of the Ukraine war, as soaring prices and an uptick in flows raise the value of shipments to the most since June 2022.

On a daily average basis, shipments in the week to April 5 rose to 2.98 million barrels a day, up by about 610,000 barrels a day.
The increase was driven by a rebound in shipments from Priomorsk, which had been disrupted the previous week by multiple Ukrainian drone strikes.

On a four-week average basis, the gross value of Moscow’s exports rose to $2.02 billion a week in the 28 days to April 5 from $1.79 billion in the period to March 29. That took it to the highest since June 2022, with another jump in prices boosting the rebound in flows.

Amongst the reports from the West and the various Chicken Littles in the blogosphere (is that an outdated term now?) that Russia's crude flows took a "40%" hit due to Ukrainian drone strikes, we can see that Russia's seaborne crude deliveries were 3 million barrels per day the previous week vs the wartime average of about 3.4 million barrels. Notice how Bloomberg's Y-axis is designed to make the drop appear larger. Seaborne crude exports per day rose by about one half-million barrels over the week before, showing just how quickly Russia can repair its ports and get the crude flowing again.

The article from Bloomberg still tries to champion the idea that Ukrainian drone strikes are still limiting the flow of cash into "Moscow's war-chest," but it is important to remember that taxes on oil are collected once the oil is extracted, not when it gets loaded on vessels.

Informed source to Tasnim: The American side has agreed to release Iran's assets, but the Iranian delegation is seeking assurance on this matter

🔹 As a result of pressures and negotiations, the American side has agreed to release Iran's blocked assets and announced that it has brought a team to Islamabad for consultations in financial matters so that both sides can reach a conclusion on this issue.

🔹 However, given the history of America's previous breaches of promise and repeated obstructions in transferring Iran's blocked assets, the Iranian side is looking for ways to be sure of America's seriousness in this matter.

It will be funny when Iran gets sanctions relief as well as the ability to collect tolls in the Strait of Hormuz and Trump tries to spin this as a victory.

Chinese Liaison (Китайский свяZноj):

The UK will allocate a grant of 380 million pounds for a battery production plant, "to compete with China".

The plant is being built by those who have never built such plants before. The money is allocated through a non-repayable grant, not tied to results - i.e., it doesn't have to be repaid, and there's no obligation to actually build the plant.

The government doesn't receive a stake in the plant for the grant. It's not about conditions, it's just a fairy tale.

And anyone who says this is embezzling money is an agent of Beijing.

The main thing is to keep writing articles like "How unfairly China competes by giving non-market subsidies to businesses" and something about inefficient socialism, where money is just given away. But this is a completely different matter here.

And after... well, sorry, but someone asks "and where are the results?" about Elon Musk's Gigafactory, which has been flooding the whole world with super-efficient Tesla batteries since 2016 (it was promised to produce 40% of the world's output, because it's a GIGAfactory)? They just pocketed the money and did their thing - what's the big deal?

Iran has handed over to Pakistani mediators a list of its "red lines" in negotiations with the United States.

This was reported by the Iranian agency IRIB.

These lines are:

- Iran's sovereign control over the Strait of Hormuz,

- receiving military reparations,

- unfreezing Iranian assets,

- achieving a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire in the entire region (that is, presumably, in Lebanon, Palestine, and Yemen).

Tehran insists that these demands must be met before any final agreement is concluded.
