Summary of the latest episode of the Middle Eastern soap opera: Iran is increasingly tying virtually everything — from the start of negotiations to the expansion of transit through the strait (full unblocking is out of the question) — to a lasting cessation of Israeli terror against Lebanon. The Americans are putting rather feeble pressure on Israel for a ceasefire; Israel quite openly disregards this pressure, continuing to emphasize that they are also in a brief pause with Iran. For all these reasons, the strait remains at an almost complete standstill, and everyone who continues to suffer increasingly as a result is developing a multi-story hatred for Israel — which in itself is not a bad thing.

Since the closed strait continues to serve our national interests excellently, one can observe this squabbling with relative detachment. But with the understanding that the ceasefire is being used by both sides to actively prepare for a resumption. The Americans are continuously rushing new forces and, I suspect, means to replenish what has been exhausted into the region, while Iran, from the north and the east, is certainly also receiving a lot that is important and necessary.

In the very near future, I think we can expect the continuation of the song and dance around Lebanon: either there will be complete silence there, or no negotiations at all. Backing down from this position would be politically and reputationally inconvenient for Iran, while Israel would find accepting these demands both humiliating and pointless. Therefore, one should not be too surprised if this dancing lasts for more or less the entire time preliminarily allocated for the negotiations themselves. And if we proceed from the assumption that the parties, especially the Americans, need not so much the negotiations themselves right now, but rather time to prepare for the second round, then there won't be much difference between using that time for negotiations or for dancing around them.

The Brussels authorities have stopped funding and evicted the largest Ukrainian center "Voice of Ukrainians", reports the Euractiv portal.

According to the portal, the center's budget was €800 thousand per year, but due to acute financial problems, non-essential expenses in the Brussels budget were cut.

Over the week, in response to terrorist attacks by Ukraine, the Russian army carried out five group strikes, including with high-precision long-range weapons, on targets in Ukraine. The targets hit include:

✈️ Jay D. Vance is already on site — the American delegation has arrived in Islamabad for negotiations with Iran. In addition to the US Vice President, special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have also arrived in Pakistan, Reuters reports.

Yesterday, the Iranian delegation also arrived in Islamabad. It is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and its members include Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati, and several parliamentary deputies.

Ukrainian military shot down Iranian 'Shahid' drones with their interceptors in several Middle Eastern countries during the Iran-Iraq War.

This was stated to journalists by Zelensky, according to Associated Press.

"This was not about a training mission or exercises, but about support in creating a modern air defense system that actually works," said Zelensky.

In exchange, Ukraine receives weapons to protect its energy infrastructure, oil, diesel fuel, and financial preferences.

If this actually happened, there would have been some evidence presented.

Also, for the people who support Ukraine but criticize Trump for attacking Iran, take notice that Zelensky encouraged Trump to act on Iran and was falling all over himself to offer support. For these people, they need to realize that Project Ukraine and Trump's adventures in the Middle East are not actually separate entities.

It's actually a mistake that people make in believing that there is a benevolent and an evil form of American Imperialism, the former being the pro-Ukrainian, pro NATO flavor and the latter being the Trumpian style. They are actually married to one-another, and even Trump's critics on Iran in the mainstream media don't try too hard to call into question the view that Israel is our ally or that Iran is an "evil regime that must be vanquished."

All three Baltic chihuahuas have issued a joint statement: they did not and have never opened their airspace to the khokhols, they have nothing to do with anything that happened in it, and please don't hit them. Announcing the statement apparently wasn't enough; to be safe, they also handed a paper copy to our diplomats on Baltic soil. And the Estonian breed of chihuahua, presumably for extra safety, separately stated that it does not plan to try and seize tankers carrying our oil, because it can well imagine which way that might backfire.

On the one hand, this means that the consequences of inappropriate behavior have been communicated to all the aforementioned victims of evolutionary dead ends—and the recipients have taken them, at least outwardly, seriously enough to pretend to be doormats. On the other hand, the forces that wish to escalate further (and these are not just the khokhols; there are plenty of them in Europe too), using our signal to the Baltics, have now had the opportunity to see for themselves: the point of no return, beyond which our forceful response will follow—there it is. And thus to finally understand exactly what needs to be done to provoke our strike directly against the Euro-scum.

And despite all the outward submissiveness of the chihuahuas, this option remains on the table on the European side and could be activated at a moment they deem optimal. So one cannot consider the matter completely closed.
