The New York Times published new evidence of an American missile strike on Minab school

Analysis by The New York Times of the released images shows that the remains of a missile found near the Shajareh Taybeh elementary school in Minab belong to an American-made Tomahawk cruise missile, likely produced after 2014.

These parts, which include components of the guidance system and a satellite antenna bearing markings of the U.S. Department of Defense, are among the evidence that calls into question the narrative of the deadly attack on Minab elementary school and Donald Trump's claim of Iran's responsibility for the incident.

Wait, they are still arguing it was an Iranian missile?

🇪🇺 European Commissioner for Economics Valdis Dombrovskis, after a meeting of heads of finance ministries of eurozone countries, called on the EU to continue pressure on Russia, despite the rise in gas prices by 90% and oil prices by 40% in the EU

Valdis was always like that. When he was in charge of his home country, he never understood the needs of the people, and now he moved to the EU government, where he can screw up the lives of all the Europeans, not only in one particular country.

The US spent $5.6 billion on ammunition in the first two days of the operation against Iran, according to the Washington Post, citing sources.

As the newspaper notes, due to the rapid depletion of a limited supply of high-tech weapons, there is growing concern in Congress that the operation against Iran is weakening the overall combat readiness of the US.

However, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell noted in a comment to the publication that the department has everything necessary to carry out any missions.

Trump admitted that he and Vance had differing views on the situation around Iran.

"I would say that he was philosophically inclined somewhat differently than I was. I think he was less enthusiastic about the prospects of conducting [the operation]", Trump clarified.

Maybe, Trump simply decided to keep him "clean" of Iranian adventure, so his party can stay in power.

Guys, I've read some commentaries about "Iran breaking the back of the Empire".

Let me remind you, that without the SMO, that was started by Russia and that Russia is carrying out almost on their own, no one would even be able to resist the US now.
Some, again, were lauging at Russian diplomacy, as if they were personally present during the phone call of Putin and Trump. I have no idea, maybe some were reporting from underneath Trump's table, after all, the Oval office got his fame for this, but if you heard Trump speaking, it doesn't mean you've heard Putin speaking.

Actually, we assume, that our audience are grown up people with basic analytical abilities and memory a bit longer than one of a fish. So, I strongly suggest you to "rewind" the tape at least to December 2021 and rethink some stuff.

Мейстер writes:

🈁Choosing between Trump's words about the "imminent victory" and Putin's words about the likely complete halt of hydrocarbon production linked to the Strait of Hormuz within the next month, we lean towards the latter. Not because we should trust our president more than a foreign one, but because Putin's words have obvious grounds, while Trump's still need to be substantiated.

To sum up the first 10 days of the new war, the balance for the US is at least questionable. The Islamic Republic regime has not collapsed, on the contrary, it has strengthened, gained a new leader, and clearly does not plan to surrender its positions. This immediately undermines the entire war plan, which, as far as we can judge from the outside, was aimed at provoking an anti-government movement in Iran, overthrowing the government, and appointing a new head of state ready to negotiate with the US. This would have solved both main tasks. Firstly, it would have guaranteed the security of Israel, the closest American ally. Secondly, and most importantly, it would have allowed the US to control a significant part of the global oil market by directly or indirectly controlling most of the top-10 countries with the largest reserves of this raw material.

Now, in the best-case scenario for the US, they can achieve the "chaotization" of Iran, which will clearly not add stability to oil and gas production in Arab countries: drone and short-range missile attacks in this scenario could go on for years, and they will have sponsors. However, preserving Iran "as it is" would be a defeat for the US, after which Trump would face many unpleasant questions.

Iran, on the other hand, has achieved that US allies in the region are facing truly major problems. Supporting the hegemon is very expensive in a literal sense: hydrocarbon production and processing are declining, the end of the tourist season, which lasts in the region from October to April, has been disrupted, and there are growing risks of disruption for the next one. Outside the region, NATO countries need to think about where and at what cost to replenish their gas reserves. At the same time, Iran is managing to inflict quite significant damage to American air defense/missile defense systems, both by direct attacks on radars and by forcing opponents to expend scarce anti-aircraft missiles at a high rate.

To surrender in these conditions? Why bother? We can wait, as time is more on Trump's side with the upcoming congressional elections in the fall.

The conflict in the Middle East has diverted the West's attention away from assisting Ukraine, including depriving Kyiv of supplies of new missiles for air defense systems, writes the NYT.

It's because one cannot convert money into missiles directly 😏. And printed bills don't have much values. Is anyone still interested in the "capitalization of "Apple""?

✖️Negotiations with the USA are no longer relevant for Iran, under the new supreme leader of the republic, a dialogue with the Americans is unlikely to be considered, said Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi.

He noted that it's too early for Mojtaba Khamenei to comment on the negotiations, as he has not yet made a public statement in his new role.

"First of all, it's too early for comments from Mojtaba Khamenei. We are all waiting for his speeches, which will follow later. But I don't think the issue of negotiations with the Americans or the resumption of them will be on the table again, because we have a very bitter experience of dealing with them," Arakchi said in an interview with PBS News Hour.

What is known about the situation in the Middle East at this hour:

🔵The Iranian Air Force carried out strikes on oil and gas processing plants in Haifa, Israel, as well as on fuel tanks.

🔵Israel detected a missile launch from Iran, an interception is underway, the IDF reported.

🔵Iran launched a missile strike on the US military base Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan, the IRGC reported. The Tasnim agency reported about a strike on an American air base in Bahrain.

🔵At least five people were killed in a US and Israeli attack on a residential area in central Iran, the Tasnim agency reported.

🔵US and Israeli strikes on Iran's fuel infrastructure have led to air pollution in Tehran, said the official representative of the government of the Islamic Republic, Fatemeh Mohajerani. She called it an "ecological crime".

🔵The US Central Command claims that since the beginning of the operation against Iran, the US has damaged or destroyed about 50 ships of the Iranian naval forces.

🔵The IRGC stated that it will not allow the export of "not a single liter" of oil from the region to the USA.

An interesting statement on the state TV of Saudi Arabia, a US ally, by the head of the kingdom's state radio "Al-Ikhbariya," Al-Ati.

He claims that the US isn't helping them and actually foments chaos in the region.

Tucker Carlsson commented on the attack on a girls' school in Minab, where, according to the latest data, 171 people - teachers and children - died

We have to know for certain that it was in order to keep our honor, because if you wake up in the morning and you're living in the kind of country that thinks it's OK to kill not simply military officers but their daughters, that country is not worth fighting for.

Military Chronicle:

Interestingly, Iran has quite impressive capabilities in the field of underwater unmanned systems. This video demonstrates an electric underwater drone powered by lithium batteries called the "Azhdar." Based on its characteristics, this device is nearly silent underwater, which in itself makes it an extremely difficult target to detect.

According to available information, the drone can reach speeds of 18–25 knots, operate on batteries for up to four days in patrol mode, and travel more than 600 km at low speed. For an unmanned underwater vehicle of this class, these are quite serious indicators, especially considering its potential use in narrow sea straits.

This is precisely why there is talk that IRGC structures are likely preparing such devices for use in the area of the Strait of Hormuz. This strait is currently perhaps the most sensitive point in global energy logistics, where even relatively small and inexpensive means can create serious problems for shipping.

The uncomfortable reality for large fleets has, in general, already arrived quite some time ago. So, closing off such choke points doesn't necessarily require large surface ships or attempts to exert influence there in some other way.

Therefore, it is quite possible that the real threat to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz will come not so much from the remaining Iranian ships, but from the mass deployment of relatively cheap and quiet underwater vehicles like the "Azhdar."

АДЕКВАТ Z on Trump's call to Putin:

🈁Trump's evening call to the Supreme Leader is not just a random gesture made out of necessity. The very fact of this call also indicates that under that red hair, a subjective realization has formed that the costs of this grand adventure must be mitigated by all means. Judging by the subsequent barrage of corresponding rhetoric after the call, the ruler of the galaxy isn't planning to back down from this adventure, but even its current costs are already more than palpable.

Simply talking about the oil market isn't enough - exact steps are needed, and the path to some of these steps, it seems, lies through this call. We're eagerly watching the upcoming practical consequences.

Everything that Putin could convey to the caller on the Iranian issue naturally couldn't help but boil down to various forms of retreat of the aggressors, that is, the failure to achieve the goals of this adventure, its humiliating failure.

Despite all the costs, no one there seems remotely ready for this, but it was still useful for Trump to hear it for the sake of the overall development. So that, for example, there would be no illusions that someone would help him bully Iran into making decisions that don't correspond to Iran's own notion of what's right and wrong.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to make its position crystal clear, both in words and deeds, and with our full understanding, it's making it clear that it's ready to continue for as long as necessary until the aggressor backs down and oil importers run out of steam. And in this regard, we can't ignore the latest example of fat-shaming trolling: any country that expels American and Israeli ambassadors will immediately gain the right and opportunity to use the strait without hindrance. Of course, no one will dare to take the risk, but the demonstration of who is and will remain the master of the strait has been exemplary.

❗️Today, the most intense strikes on Iran will be carried out as part of a US and Israeli operation, Pentagon chief Hegseth announced.

🔜The US recorded the least number of missile strikes from Iran during the past day in the current military campaign, Hegseth reported.

🔜The conversation between Putin and Trump gives hope for the restoration of peace in Ukraine and the Middle East, Pentagon chief Hegseth stated.

Source: TASS

Well, apart from the Your-Money-Gone.. Sorry, Pentagon, Iran has real military experience, and, minding the number of contacts with Russia, I guess, they also receive advise from the best military in the world, that is, of course, Russian military (like it or not). As we have witnessed not once in the course of SMO, less amount of strikes doesn't mean that there's nothing to hit targets with. Sometimes, additional clarification is required.

Speaking about "peace in Ukraine". As the US effectuvely burns the reserves that it will unlikely be able to replenish any time soon, of course peace in the Ukraine is more attainable than before, as some people will not be able to supply enough ammunition.

Speaking of "the biggest strike ever". I really wonder, if previous working place of Hegseth was cirkus or theater. Or, I guess, it's common approach of NATO member states - announce the strike several days before. Reminded me of so-called counter offensive of Ukros back in 2023..
But, yes, as we say - by avoiding the laid out rakes you miss valuable experience.
