US intelligence believes that the overthrow of the regime in Iran is unlikely, even in the event of a prolonged war. The Washington Post reports this, citing a secret report from the National Intelligence Council.
According to the publication, even a large-scale military attack by the US is unlikely to eliminate the entrenched military and religious elite of the Islamic Republic.
The newspaper points out that this assessment looks sobering against the backdrop of recent statements by Trump about a possible long-term campaign, which, according to officials, "has only just begun".
As three sources familiar with the document's conclusions told the newspaper, the report casts doubt on plans to "cleanse" the Iranian leadership and install a new ruler in the country.
The document was completed about a week before the start of the US and Israeli war against Iran on February 28. It examined scenarios of power change both after a limited operation against the country's leadership and after large-scale strikes on state institutions.
In both cases, intelligence concluded that the religious and military elite of Iran would act according to pre-developed procedures to preserve the continuity of power in the event of the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei.
Moreover, the likelihood that the fragmented Iranian opposition will be able to seize power in the country is assessed as low.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi:
If Trump is seeking to escalate tensions, he is exactly following what our strong armed forces have been prepared for a long time, and he will get his response.

Araghchi is the second most bad-ass foreign minister in the world. Lavrov takes the number one spot, of course.

According to Kalshi's prediction market, the Democrats are projected to win 231 seats in the midterm congressional elections this fall. This would give them a solid majority, as well as the subpoena power to investigate Trump and his administration and to compel testimony. The Republicans are likely to hold onto the Senate by a slim majority, so we are looking at a divided government with a lame-duck Trump in office, receiving a colonoscopy every day for the following two years. Personally, I consider this the best possible outcome for the world. Basically, it will be total gridlock and never-ending torture sessions for the orange clown.
Image 2 shows the current polling. The Democrats currently have 210 seats locked in out of the 218 needed for a majority. Of the 19 seats up for grabs, 4 are already Democrat-controlled, so they only need 4 of the 15 Republican-controlled seats to gain the House. Historically, the party in power tends to take an absolute beating in the midterm elections, and the Republicans have done everything they can to screw this up. Imagine if oil goes over $100 per barrel!
Edit: To be clear, I'm not saying that the Democrats are "better." I'm simply cheering on gridlock and never-ending subpoenas for the orange one.

Military Chronicle:
The West claims that Russian "Kosmos-2550" satellites for electronic reconnaissance provide Iran with satellite images of all US and allied facilities in the Middle East. This, in their opinion, explains the accuracy of Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes. The satellite's trajectory and flight time allegedly coincide exactly with the start of the active phase of Iranian strikes on US targets in the Middle East. Recently, the spacecraft flew over the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. Overall, given that the entire military/satellite infrastructure of the US and NATO is working against Russia in Ukraine, such claims seem not only incomprehensible but even audacious.
It is believed that the satellite is a key element of the new Russian targeting system "Liana".
