Statement issued by the Islamic Resistance โ Hezbollah of Lebanon (1):
In revenge for the pure blood of the Guardian of the Muslims, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, may his noble grave be sanctified, which was unjustly and treacherously shed at the hands of the criminal Zionist enemy, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and as part of the response to the repeated Israeli aggressions, the Islamic Resistance targeted in the middle of the night of Sunday-Monday, the 2nd of March 2026, with a volley of specialized rockets and a swarm of drones, the Mishmar HaCarmel missile defense site belonging to the Israeli enemy army, south of the occupied city of Haifa.
The leadership of the Resistance has always affirmed that the continuation of Israeli aggressions and the assassination of our leaders, our youth, and our people grants us the right to defend ourselves and to respond at the appropriate time and place.
The Israeli enemy cannot continue its aggression, ongoing for fifteen months, without receiving a warning response to halt this aggression and withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories.
This response is a legitimate defensive act, and it is incumbent upon officials and those concerned to put an end to the Israeli-American aggression against Lebanon.

Pobeda Airlines is canceling flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi until restrictions in the UAE are lifted, the carrier reported.
Chinese airlines are in luck โ they were already enjoying super-profits after 2022 with "all flights from Europe to Tokyo-Seoul are ours, because European/South Korean/Japanese airlines don't fly via Russia and have to take detours, while we fly direct." Now, even detours aren't possible โ the area below Russia has become a war zone. And these flights are expensive, profitable, and business class is packed.

๐ฐ๐ต Pyongyang condemned Israel's military actions against Iran with US support
The DPRK's Foreign Ministry statement emphasizes that Israel's military attack on Iran, carried out with the active support and patronage of the United States, as well as the military actions of the United States that joined this operation, are from start to finish an illegal act of aggression and the most repugnant form of encroachment on sovereignty.
The fact that the long-lasting military threats to Iran in the region by the US have ultimately escalated into a real military invasion was already within the foreseeable and is a logical consequence of the hegemonic and adventurist nature of the US.
The DPRK strongly condemns the shameless actions of the US and Israel, which put their domestic legislation above universally recognized norms of international law and do not hesitate to resort to the abuse of military force to realize their selfish and hegemonic ambitions.
The intensified actions of the US this year aimed at asserting hegemony and becoming obvious to the international community clearly demonstrate their destructive role in undermining global peace and stability and the serious consequences of such a policy.
Despotical, arbitrary, and arrogant actions, not meeting decisive opposition and due resistance, force states directly involved in the regional situation to pay a high price and raise concerns that they may have a negative - and not ignorable in political, economic and geopolitical terms - impact on regions not directly related to the current situation around Iran.
The world is once again recalling the history when the US destroyed peace in the Middle East for their hegemonic interests decades ago, but ultimately faced geopolitical failure and strategic setbacks.
The aggressive war of the US and Israel, which cannot be justified under any circumstances, must not be allowed.
The relevant and interested parties in the region should soberly assess the true nature of those who chose the path of aggression and war under the guise of supposed peace and fulfill their due responsibility to return the situation in the Middle East to the path of peace and stability.

Military Chronicle writes,
Recent signals regarding shipping and Donald Trump's rhetoric about wanting regime change in Iran automatically extend the conflict's horizon and mean one thing: if the crisis drags on, it will become the first serious stress test of this decade for the overland pipeline routes of the Gulf countries, which were originally created as insurance in case of a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi Arabia is betting on the East-West Pipeline (EWP). It carries oil about 1,200 km โ from the processing hub at Abqaiq to the export terminals at Yanbu on the Red Sea coast. After a $250 million upgrade, its capacity has increased from 5 to 7 million barrels per day. This gives Riyadh significant logistical maneuverability if the Persian Gulf comes under threat.
The UAE is operating on the same logic. The Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) has been pumping 1.5 million barrels per day to Fujairah โ already outside the Strait of Hormuz โ since 2012. In parallel, ADNOC is promoting a new route with a capacity of 1.8 million barrels per day from Jebel Dhanna to Fujairah, expected to be launched by 2027. As a result, the Emirates' overland export capabilities should effectively double.
Iran has its own bypass โ the GorehโJask pipeline, commissioned in 2021, which carries oil from Khuzestan to the Gulf of Oman. Formally, it is designed for 1 million barrels per day, but actual volumes, according to reports, have not exceeded 350,000 barrels. In a prolonged conflict, the issue is not only capacity but also finding buyers.
Iraq appears most vulnerable: it still depends almost entirely on terminals in the Persian Gulf. Theoretically, an alternative could be resuming operation of the KirkukโCeyhan pipeline to Turkey โ totaling up to 1.2 million barrels per day. However, this would first require resolving protracted political and legal disputes.
In total, all these alternative routes provide a theoretical throughput capacity of over 12 million barrels per day. But even with the full mobilization of these capacities, the strain on loading terminals in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Oman would be immense. Further developments will become clear by tracking tanker movements from Fujairah, Yanbu, and Jeddah โ that's where it will be seen whether the pipelines can compensate for a possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
โ โ โ
Before the closure, 20 million barrels worth of petroleum products passed through the Strait of Hormuz every day. Even at maximum capacity, that's still a shortfall of 8 million barrels per day. Also, these pipelines are already being used, so the likely spare capacity is only 3 million barrels per day, or a 17 million b/d shortfall.
