Strong frosts are returning to Ukraine. On Tuesday, according to the Ukrhydrometcenter, the temperature in Kyiv and a number of regions will drop to -17 degrees.
Snowfall is also expected. In Kyiv, local social media accounts report that snow drifts and icy roads have already started to appear.

There has been a dip in missile and drone strikes lately.

ΠΠΠΠ ΠΠΠΠ writes,
The enemy has published footage of the interception of a little-known Russian UAV called the "Klin" (another name: "Podsolnukh" / "Sunflower"). Among the known characteristics of the device are: takeoff weight of 13.5 kg, flight speed of up to 300 km/h, and a payload of 5 kg (two warhead options: high-explosive or shaped charge).
The flight range with a signal repeater is 120 km, and the "Klin" can remain in the air for up to 80 minutes. The drone can autonomously identify targets and attack them through the use of artificial intelligence and machine vision.
The "Klin" UAV was presented in October of last year, but footage of one being intercepted has only appeared recently.

Military Chronicle:
Judging by the footage of Russian UAV operators from the "Irishmen" unit, the AFU command continues to deploy self-propelled artillery in the area of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, trying to complicate the situation for the "Center" grouping.
The self-propelled artillery is being deployed in small batches, probably to reduce the risk of detection and maintain the element of surprise.
The loss of each installation is sensitive for the AFU, however, judging by the nature of the actions, the task of keeping Russian units within the Pokrovsk area is of priority importance, and Syrsky still does not care about the losses.
After establishing control over Pokrovsk itself, Russian units, according to available data, are engaged in regrouping: they are replenishing ammunition, repairing damaged equipment, and deploying command posts on new positions. After the completion of these activities, we can expect a continuation of the advance in the western direction.

Recommended reading. Where did Americans become so brainwashed against our former ally, Russia?
I know it was begun before FDR was even cold in his grave.
But this story by James Bradley truly gives the reader an idea of how Americans were turned against their best interest.
FROM THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS COMES PRECIOUS FREEDOM, A NOVEL OF THE WAR IN VIETNAM.
The Vietnam War was a tragedy for Americaβand for Vietnam. But for the Vietnamese, it was also a victory: they defeated the worldβs wealthiest country and most powerful military. James Bradley, the author of Flags of Our Fathers, began to wonder, How did they win?
Precious Freedom explores this question in a powerful novel that is drawn from the pages of history. Informed by ten years of research and hundreds of interviews with US Marines, Viet Cong snipers, and Vietnamese fighters, politicians, and leaders, Precious Freedom is storytelling at its finest.

Military Chronicle:
The flagship of the strike group - the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was captured by the Sentinel-2 satellite on February 15, 2026.
At the time the photo was taken, the aircraft carrier was located approximately 300 km east of the coast of Oman and 700 km south of Iran. This is a safe distance, allowing to maintain operational flexibility and at the same time stay outside the zone of direct impact of most coastal anti-ship systems.
Such a safe distance is typical for the waiting or preparation stage. At the same time, the aircraft carrier can quickly move either closer to the Strait of Hormuz, so that the deck-based aviation can start operating, or stay at a distance, serving as a reserve for the second strike group "Gerald Ford."

A German icebreaker, sent to rescue a stranded LNG tanker, broke down and got stuck in the thick Arctic ice, NDR reports.
According to the publication, if the ship is not helped, it will have to spend the winter in the Arctic zone.
It is noted that only Russian nuclear icebreakers, which have sufficient power to break through heavy ice and escort other ships, can save the vessel. However, sanctions have been imposed against Russia, which complicates the possible involvement of the Russian Navy.

Military Chronicle:
The activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, it seems, is gradually reaching its zenith. The Ukrainian side directly calls the ongoing events a counteroffensive, although the current actions clearly fall short of the scale of the 2023 campaign.
Judging by the nature of the means used, it is clear that Russian troops were preparing for such events. In particular, "Lancets" with a target auto-acquisition system (artificial intelligence) are actively used in the direction, and their number allows them to operate on equipment for a long time and in large volumes.
However, there are also restraining factors. Restrictions in the operation of Starlink have significantly complicated the use of UAVs "Molniya" and BM-35. As a result, strikes on the reserves and rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not carried out in the same volumes as they could be with stable satellite communication.
Interestingly, similar activity is going on with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in other directions, in particular, in Pokrovsk, which once again confirms the guesses about the need for Syrsky to achieve any success at any cost in any of the sectors.

The loss of starlink has complicated things, but it is an adjustment, not a crisis.

The Israeli Prime Minister stated that he would only agree to a deal with Iran if three conditions are met.
According to him, Tehran must completely remove all uranium and dismantle all its uranium enrichment facilities.
In addition, Iran needs to limit the range of its missiles to 300 kilometers so that they cannot reach Israeli territory.
Another requirement is the dismantling of the so-called "axis of terror", which Israel understands as the armed groups supported by Iran in the region.

"Ukrposhta" offices are being set on fire every week due to the distribution of draft notices. This was stated by the company's head, Igor Smiliansky.
"No one says how many of our offices are being set on fire and how many we are repairing. Almost every week, our offices are being set on fire because we are distributing draft notices," he said.
Smiiliansky emphasized that "Ukrposhta" is part of the military infrastructure and has a contract with the Ministry of Defense for the distribution of draft notices. 100% of military-aged employees are reserved for military service.

Military Chronicle:
Estonia will "bring the war" to Russia if the Russian army "invades", β stated Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna.
We know exactly what to do. We are ready for a possible invasion by Russia, and the level of deterrence is really high. We already have new defense plans, and this means that we are not just waiting. If Russia invades our territory and we start resistance, we will bring the war to Russia's territory
It's a big question whether the head of the tiger state knows that the area of his country is smaller than that of the Moscow region of Russia and that it can be driven through in a few hours.
