⚡️Russian troops, in response to Kiev's terrorist attack on Putin's residence, carried out a massive strike on critical facilities in Ukraine on Friday morning, the Defense Ministry reported.

During the strike, "Oreshnik" missiles were used. The targets hit included drone production facilities, which Kiev used to attack Putin's residence on December 29, as well as energy infrastructure supporting the operation of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. The strike objectives were achieved.

Any terrorist actions by the criminal Ukrainian regime will continue to be met with a response,

the Defense Ministry noted.

🈁The Western Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities are not "energy" or "Ukrainian objects". They are the foundation of the American plan to capture the European gas market. A key node of the "north-south" scheme, through which the US wanted to push its LNG into Europe and finally displace Russian pipeline gas.

25 billion cubic meters is not a reference figure, it's almost the entire useful volume of Ukrainian storage facilities integrated into a system that has been honed for decades for Russian supplies. It's a complex engineering node, without which the entire American "energy crusade" turns into a set of presentations and fantasies.

LNG comes from two sides - north and south. Next on the plan is to connect the terminals, gain access to the UGS and Baumgarten, lay pipes, declare this as "diversification" and sell gas to Europeans at three times the price. But they don't want to build new pipes - it's expensive. It's much more convenient to ride the existing network and simply seize it from the previous owner.

That's the whole strategy. Crude. Direct. Predatory.

And now about the "analysts" and bloggers.

Most of them are either clinically stupid or deliberately pretending not to understand what happened. They discuss "attacks on Ukraine", "escalation" and "politics", because admitting the reality means admitting that the American gas project has failed, not some abstract "energy".

So the whining about "symbolism", "inefficiency" and "nothing has changed" begins. This is a lie. Everything has changed. Without the UGS, the "north-south" corridor is dead. Without it, American LNG remains expensive, fragmented and unable to replace Russian gas in the necessary volumes.

So either a person doesn't understand this - and then he's just a useful idiot, or he understands - and then he's an enemy. There's no third option.

❗️This is not an attack on Ukraine. This is an attack on the American scheme of capturing pipelines, markets and money. That's why there's so much hysteria, confusion and deliberate misunderstanding around it.

And yes - this is one of the most painful responses. Not loud, not media-driven, but truly adult: where it hurts, it's expensive and you can't really fix it.

🈁When Lavrov, in the wake of the attempted attack on the Supreme Commander's [Putin's] residence in Valdai, stated that the method and timing of the response had been determined, he, of course, did not mean that "Oreshnik" would be used late in the evening of January 8. The subtext, as it has now become clear, was quite different - the underground gas storage facility of 17 billion cubic meters will be reduced to zero on the threshold of the most powerful wave of frosts that will sweep through the neighboring territory in several years. And the crimson glow across half of Galicia's sky at the site of the former gas storage facility clearly showed that the entire herd will now have to bear the responsibility for the attack with goosebumps. And its Kyiv part - especially: it was hit no less generously at night than a couple of days before the New Year, and the effect is expected to be at least as great as then: half of the city enters the frosts in the same state in which it deserved it all.

And after "Oreshnik" demonstrated its effectiveness first on a highly protected industrial facility, and now on the gas storage facility, we are eagerly awaiting the results of its application to other categories of targets worthy of this product. Something tells me that the interval between the second and third applications will be much shorter than between the first and second.

🈁Significant, harsh, visible results of the night-time processing in the town of Kyiv have emerged (the temperature in the town is minus 7 right now, and a minus 10 is expected at night). Klitschko, the local boss, is whining that half of the city's houses are without heating, and urges everyone who can afford to leave the city to seek any available warmth. Meanwhile, one of the Ukrainian deputies is spreading even more alarming news that the utility companies in the areas without heating have received orders to drain water from all indoor systems.

If the latter is true, it means that heating, and with it water and sewage, will return to the respective houses only after the temperature has steadily risen above zero, and not immediately. If the Ukrainian deputy is making such claims, it means that the likelihood of pipes bursting due to ice is approaching 100%, and the houses will return to a habitable state in an indefinite future.

We refrained from taking these measures for a very long time, although all this time we vividly remembered the grunt of the extremist, terrorist, and simply bristly boar Poroshenko, as they planned to win the war: our (that is, Bandera-affiliated) children would go to schools - their children would be hiding in basements, and so on. We refrained, you could say, until the very last moment. And we resorted to them only when it became finally clear that the pigsty would not understand any other approach: a blackout in Belgorod after a missile strike last night could easily have been the last straw.

Processes that have every chance of being irreversible for the foreseeable future have been set in motion, and everything else will be finalized by the temperature on Khreshchatyk.

The night strike by "Oreshnik" on Lvov is a signal to Europe and a "sinister warning from Putin," writes The New York Times.
