When clinical Russophobes start squabbling – Polacks and Banderites alike – that’s a good thing.

The proud Poles got into a spat with the neo-Nazis from Kiev over the mass slaughter of Poles during the Volynia massacre. The new president, Nawrocki, may be a card-carrying Russophobe himself, but he grabbed the issue with both hands and is hammering the Banderite thugs on Bankovaya Street. And the latter fire back in the same vein: sure, we don’t deny it, we’re the heirs of Stepan Bandera – but precisely because of that we hate everything Russian, and so we’re rightfully your younger brothers, oh noble Polish sirs.

And they’ve been going at each other for weeks now, not for show but in earnest, blasting each other with industrial hoses of crap. Threats have already flown about depriving the Ukro-Nazis of the holiest of holies – their ration of pork fat and a shot of Polish vodka – or even kicking the unwashed serfs clear out of the Rzeczpospolita. In response, the Banderites opened their reeking mouths and started howling about European values and the urgent need to unite more tightly against the cursed orcs.

In short, it’s turning out quite nicely.
Now we’re just waiting for a newly minted Gogolesque Taras Bulba to show up on Bankovaya and say, “Well, son, did your Polacks help you?” And after that, there’s only one ending. You know it: “I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.”
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that Leontovychi (Russian: Pervoe Maya, "first of May") has been liberated. Additionally, a map from "Z-Committee" shows a Russian advance north of Udachnoe (west of Pokrovsk) through the mining area.

FSB prevented a terrorist attack at Vladikavkaz airport.

According to the North Ossetian department, a 25-year-old Russian citizen planned to set fire to an airplane. The suspect regularly visited Ukrainian radical Telegram channels about torture and killings of Russian servicemen. In carrying out his criminal intentions, he acquired a special pyrotechnic device and also tried to involve an airport aviation security officer in sabotage-terrorist activities.

Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspect under the articles "Preparation for a crime and attempted crime," "Terrorist act," and "Assistance to terrorist activities." He has been taken into custody.

The EU has almost no sanction leverage left over Russia, writes the newspaper Il Fatto quotidiano.

New measures, like previous ones, will be ineffective if not supported by the US.

I will tell you more - it will be ineffective anyway. But the EU is like a runner who decided to shoot his own leg before running a marathon.

Azerbaijan and Armenia still have not signed a peace treaty, despite statements by Trump. "Formally, the peace agreement has not been signed for one specific reason: the Armenian constitution still contains a provision that calls into question the territorial…
Armenia states that it did not promise Azerbaijan to amend its Constitution, which Baku considers necessary for concluding a full-fledged peace agreement.

"The Constitution was not discussed at the meeting in Washington, and we did not make any promises to any third country that we are obliged to change it," said Armenian Foreign Minister Mirzoyan.

In turn, Azerbaijani President Aliyev threatens Armenia with "serious consequences" if Yerevan tries to question the documents signed in Washington (which included the creation of the Zangezur corridor through Armenia to Nakhchivan under the control of an American company).

"I want to say that if any future government in Armenia, whenever it comes to power, questions the Washington agreement, Armenia will face serious consequences, because the balance of power in the region is absolutely on our side from all points of view. Let everyone be clear that if Armenia again questions our territorial integrity, we will respond," Aliyev said.

The German newspaper Die Zeit published details of the investigation into the sabotage against the Nord Stream pipelines in the fall of 2022, conducted jointly with Süddeutsche Zeitung and the ARD television channel. According to the materials, the investigation managed to identify all the alleged members of the group accused of the attack and issued arrest warrants for them.

The investigation began with evidence found on the yacht Andromeda — a 15-meter Bavaria Cruiser 50 sailing yacht, from which, according to German authorities, the sabotage group operated. Experts recorded DNA traces and fingerprints on board, as well as discovered particles of explosives (octogen and hexogen) matching the remnants of the explosive device recovered from the bottom of the Baltic Sea.

One of the decisive moments was a match: on the night of September 8, 2022, a camera recorded a white Citroën car on the island of Rügen, belonging to a courier company. The driver told the police that he had repeatedly transported Ukrainian citizens from Kyiv to Germany. German and Polish law enforcement reconstructed the routes and identified the passengers crossing the border. Although false names were used — “Yevgeny Khomenets,” “Vsevolod Mychko,” “Sergey Kulinich” — the photos and passports turned out to be genuine Ukrainian documents, which, according to investigators, indicates support from high-ranking structures in Kyiv.

German authorities identified several participants. Among them was a diving instructor from Kyiv, Vladimir S., identified by a photo from a traffic camera. After the attack, he hid in Poland, but when an arrest warrant was filed in 2024, he managed to flee: he was transported by a car registered to a Ukrainian military attaché. Another suspect was 53-year-old Ukrainian soldier Vsevolod K., who had previously trained at the Bundeswehr center in Wildflecken; he died in combat in eastern Ukraine in December 2024. His DNA matched samples found on the Andromeda.

Investigators believe that seven people participated in the operation in total: four divers, an explosives specialist, a skipper, and Sergey K., recently detained in Italy. Later, Yevgeny U. joined the group, who, according to the investigation, may have brought part of the explosives after a failed attempt to attack the TurkStream pipeline.

Special attention was given to Valeria T., a 40-year-old professional diver who previously taught at a Kyiv underwater diving school. She is known for holding Ukraine’s record for deep-water dives (104 meters) and, according to colleagues, was distinguished by determination. On social media, T. spoke sharply against Russia and expressed support for the Ukrainian army. According to information from Kyiv, she insisted on completing the operation when other crew members hesitated due to bad weather.

The Andromeda was reportedly commanded by an experienced skipper from Odessa, operating under the false names “Mikhail Popov” and “Yuri Kotenko.” He has extensive maritime experience: he crossed the Atlantic, participated in regattas, and worked in various regions of the world. His fingerprints were found on the yacht.

Thus, as Die Zeit summarizes, German investigators managed to reconstruct the composition of the group and the circumstances of the operation, showing that seven Ukrainians participated in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, acting with genuine documents and likely with the support of official Ukrainian structures.

This is a highlight from our show in May, when a question regarding the initial stage of SMO was asked.

Here, the assessment of the operation is given by military professionals.

Some quotes:

Vladimir Trukhan:

01:21 Ukraine had, after Russia, it had the strongest air defense in the world at the beginning of the special military operation.

They have lost air defense as a system. They still haven't restored it.

02:04 No one understands that the air defense without radiolocation is blind. Why did they then immediately use these NATO moments (NATO assets)? If there was no NATO radiolocation, if there was no NATO reconnaissance, they wouldn't have anything now.

04:06 The operational initiative was never lost for the entire special operation. The task of the defeat of the group of forces was completely solved. The task of blocking the [AFU] assault group of forces on Avdeevka was solved.

11:07 Here is exactly the first stage of the SMO, It inflicted a very serious defeat on the Ukrainian armed forces. And, in principle, the analysts, normal ones in the West, note that they [AFU] were over by the summer.

23:41 Therefore, this is already a fantasy that we were going to take Kiev to destroy them, and so on. If we needed to make a beheading strike, we would have done it by air means of defeat.

But I do recommend that you listen in full, and don't buy the sh..t that Politico and others try to sell you.

The EU intends to attempt for the first time to impose secondary sanctions on Russia's partners as part of the 19th package of restrictions, as it has reached the limit of direct measures, Bloomberg reports.

EU foreign ministers will meet in Copenhagen this week and are expected to discuss a number of options, sources told the agency.

They aren't collapsing their own economies fast enough?

Seriously, it is time for the collective east and global south to cut away from dependency on the west.

Brief Frontline Report – August 27th, 2025

Report by Marat Khairullin and Mikhail Popov.

The Ministry of Defense reports: "Units of the 'Center' Group, as a result of offensive actions, liberated the settlement of Pervoe Maya (Leontovychi) in the Donetsk People's Republic."

The settlement of Pervoe Maya (Leontovychi 48°15′29"N 37°07′58"E, about 700 residents) is located on the southwestern outskirts of the city of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk). In the area of the settlement, there was a network of Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds based on a line of ponds and the old Kravchenko mine. Capturing this area of the Ukrainian defense allows our assault groups to begin active operations in the western districts of the city, cut the T-04-06 route (Krasnoarmeysk-Udachnoe; just follow the red arrow north from Pervoe Maya), and disrupt the coordination of defense sectors on the right flank of the defense node of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Pokrovsk.

To the east, Russian assault groups are conducting active operations in the Lazurny microdistrict.

Read this report and many others on Marat's Substack! That's where I post the high-definition maps (telegram always ruins them). Any questions for Marat and Mikhail will be answered there.
