The head of the LPR, Pasechnik, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the city of Rovenki, an oil depot was engulfed in fire, and houses around were also damaged. According to preliminary data, one person died, 6 people were taken to hospital with injuries , these were oil depot employees and local residents.
Firefighters immediately rushed to the scene. Now the main task is to prevent the fire from spreading to residential buildings.
The attack on Rovenki was allegedly carried out by ATACMS missiles, said the head of the LPR Pasechnik
The number of victims in the attack on the oil depot in Rovenki has increased to 8, the head of the LPR said.
Zin Note: Considering that this is a relatively minor target for these supposedly advanced weapons system, there are two possibilities:
The Ukrainians were given so many ATACMS that they can launch them at relatively minor targets, or
The Russian air defense can neutralize the ATACMS so effectively in the case of well protected targets that they must aim for less relevant targets that are probably not as well defended.
