Asparagus growth cycle from crowns. It can take up to 8 years to start a patch from seed in my zone. My patch, started from crowns, is on the 'fruit development' stage. There are wild asparagus patches near rivers or springs too! Once established, and in a good, fertile location, patch can produce for generations, though it will spread outside of the original planting area over time. Strawberry is a great companion plant to grow together in the same patch ๐Ÿ“
