Conservatively projects a real GDP growth of 6.5%β7% for FY25.
This is lower than RBI estimates of 7.2%. For 2025, the IMF projected India's growth rate at 6.5%.

Retail inflation moderated from an avg of 6.7% in FY23 to 5.4% in FY24 due to combined efforts by the govt and the RBI
India is closer to its inflation target compared to most other economies
The RBI expects headline inflation to be 4.5% in FY25 and 4.1% in FY26

India's mkt cap to GDP ratio has risen sharply from 77% in Dec-19 to 124% in Dec-23.
The survey highlighted:
"If equity market claims on the real economy are excessively high, it is a harbinger of market instability rather than market resilience."
Also, this increase is not necessarily an indicator of economic growth.

Survey has recommended government to take control of this frenzy
A fall in markets will lead to massive losses for those participating via derivatives
It'll demotivate investors from participating in capital markets which is bad for the economy
*Corporate Bond Markets*π
India needs debt financing options beyond banks. An active corp-bond mkt is needed.
Size of Indian corp bond mkt vs. GDP is much lower than other Asian EMs.
Note: SEBI is working on reducing corp bond ticket size from βΉ1L to βΉ10,000.
*New jobs*π§Ώ
Indian economy needs to generate an avg of nearly 78.5 lakh jobs annually until 2030 in the non-farm sector to cater to the rising workforce.
They plan to do it as follows:
