3 Facts on EPoS vs DPoS

1). No Delegation
EgonCoin BlockChain is based on the Delegated Proof of Stake (DPOS) consensus mechanism without delegation. Instead of delegation, EgonChain is offering Elevator Stake Dapp where users will Stake their EgonCoin & Earn. So, EgonCoin BlockChain will use Elevated Proof of Stake (EPOS) as the consensus mechanism.
Fixed 20% of EgonCoin max supply is allocated for Elevator Stake Dapp.

2). No Block Reward
DPoS has Block reward which is distributed to validators. From this Block reward users who delegate to a certain validator earn a share from total reward allocated to that validator. But EPoS do not have Block reward. The Elevator stake dapp effectively replaces the Block reward.

3). Fixed Max Supply
EPoS has max supply while DPoS do not. EgonCoin Blockchain is hard-coded with a fixed supply of 271 million, Unlike DPoS in which the supply increases with each Block. The EPos algorithm enables burning part of transaction fees on the fly. Also a quarterly burn will be implemented for EgonCoin (EGC) to make the supply scarce.
