An exercise in thought with a lesson attached:

As U.S. citizens, or citizens of the world at large, what is your primary view of Russia when you imagine it?
What shapes this view?
How does the U.S. media, and media abroad shape your perception of other cultures?
How might media bias help to insulate your sense of national pride or "inherent cultural superiority" (ie the belief that wherever you are is the "best" in general)?
How early does cultural programming start? Can mediums of children's entertainment brainwash your perception of other countries before you even realize it is taking place?

Are you more likely to accept war against people you percieve as savage in some form or another? Are you less likely to question actions taken against societies viewed through a "less-than" lense? If you believe your personal culture to be superior are you more or less likely to rise up against abuses of power within it?

Again, think deeply and slowly on all these things. When we pause to reflect, our perception expands and our true knowledge with it.

Why is your response to a war in ukraine different than a war in your own country if the same hands are still responsible?

Re: Israel, it isn't public yet but U.S. sponsored intelligence has been leaking information to Hamas about weapons and munitions transferred out of Israel in an effort to spark the conflict.
The U.S. also leaked information about U.S.-made weapons sales to Hamas that possibly occurred through Ukraine.
U.S. intelligence is behind both "leaks".
