The Times of Israel writes that Israel has lost a war for the first time, and sums up the results.
🇵🇸 What Hamas got.
1️⃣ World public opinion is against Israel.
2️⃣ Israel has negotiated the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, many of whom were sentenced to life in prison.
3️⃣ Some Hamas leaders have been killed and will be replaced by new ones.
4️⃣ Although many of its fighters have been killed, Hamas is rebuilding its military wing.
5️⃣ Hamas has proven that Israel is willing to make enormous sacrifices in order to get little in return.
6️⃣ October 7, 2023 has produced stunning results. In fact, Israel is weaker now than it was on October 6, 2023.
7️⃣ Taking hostages is indeed profitable.
8️⃣ Much of Gaza has been destroyed, but the world is going to spend huge sums to rebuild it. Much of that money can be expected to end up in Hamas' coffers.
9️⃣ Hamas will still control Gaza. UNRWA will remain.

1️⃣1️⃣ Initially, Hamas will only have to release three hostages, and then four more shortly thereafter. In the first phase of the deal, only 33 hostages will be released in total. Israel will then be able to exchange more Palestinian prisoners for more of its own hostages. So at the end of the first phase of the deal, Hamas will still be holding about 30 Israelis, some of whom are likely already dead.
1️⃣2️⃣ Israel has failed to achieve its stated goals at the start of the war, which included the complete elimination of Hamas in Gaza.
1️⃣3️⃣ The cost of the war for Israel has been enormous. Hamas has been able to kill over 400 Israeli soldiers since 10/7/2023. Israel's national debt has increased significantly and its economy has suffered. The war has reduced Israel's economic activity by over 20%.
1️⃣4️⃣ Israel will get a respite from Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but it will have to deal with other parts of the Axis of Resistance, including the Houthis and the West Bank, as well as Iran.
1️⃣5️⃣ Israel will begin to withdraw its troops from Gaza, and the killing of Palestinians will stop for now.

#BREAKING – Romania scrambled F-16 fighters due to Russian drone attacks on Ukraine.
During the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of January 17, Romania declared an air alert in the north of Tulcea County, which borders Odessa. The Romanian army took fighter jets into the air.
There was also information that one of the Russian drones may have crashed on the Romanian coast.
The country's Ministry of Defense said that two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled to "monitor the situation."
