The US military has struck targets of the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen
The military targeted a missile arsenal depot and a Houthi command center in Sanaa. There is no information yet on the damage to the facilities or the number of casualties. According to eyewitnesses, ambulances arrived at the scene of the strikes. The Pentagon noted that the operation is designed to reduce the military potential of the Shiite group and disrupt attacks on US Navy warships and merchant ships in the Red and Arabian Seas.
Despite this, the Houthis launched several kamikaze UAVs and an anti-ship cruise missile in the direction of the US carrier strike group led by the USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea. The Pentagon said that the threats were neutralized. It is noteworthy that while repelling the attack, the AD systems of the guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, part of the AUG, mistakenly shot down a multi-purpose deck aircraft F/A-18, which participated in the strikes on Sanaa.
