Hezbollah fired several hundred rockets at Israel.
More than 320 rockets were fired at Israel, hitting 11 military infrastructure sites, including four in the Golan Heights, Hezbollah claims.
In response, Israel launched a preemptive strike on Hezbollah targets. According to the military, the targets were the organization's facilities in Lebanon. Following the large-scale attacks in southern Lebanon, the country's authorities declared a state of emergency for 48 hours.
