Twenty-four countries signed the “Ukrainian Treaty” at the NATO summit in Washington to accelerate and coordinate collective efforts to provide military support to Kyiv.
As part of this document, the parties undertake to “provide support to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs in the field of defense and security, military training, and army modernization.”
The agreement was signed by the US, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK, as well as the heads of the European Council and the European Commission and Zelensky.
