UKRAINE β Kharkiv Front: what i think is going on, the buffer zone.
for over a year the ukr forces have been crossing the border at will attacking russia... on nearly every russian news media platform russia has stated they want a buffer zone in ukraine they can build a new defensive line, not do a deep attack
the amount of force they are using is NOT enough to push south and with ukr forces building the time for a "breakout" is long passed
in no world is the russia forces any where 30,000 offensive combat troops. this is just enough to grab some land on the ukr side and hold it for a while to hope to build a fortified area in ukr
i expect that russian forces are linking the east and west areas to make a solid wall of defensive positions to try and keep any more attacks from ukr happening
the problem is that russian troops are now in a stand up fight in the open with dug in ukr forces in ukr... with more and more troops on the way. this could end badly for russia
