SYRIA – Another round of tension in the main prisoners camp of ISIS, the Al-Hol camp in northern Hasakah, where families of ISIS terrorists imprisoned. Kurdish SDF security services, relying on the testimony of IS members, began a campaign of arrests.
The Kurds called their operation “Humanity and Security.” During the investigation, they reported on the detention of a number of IS members and the confiscation of weapons, including grenades, AK-47 assault rifles and explosive belts.
The local population, already living in difficult conditions, resisted. They used disobedience and the use of improvised means, mainly stones, as well as knives (no details here).
As the operation progressed, ISIS cells became more active. SDF targets and patrols were attacked in the areas of Diban , Gawaij , Mazraat Rashid , Raqqa , etc. In January of this year alone, they carried out more than 60 operations.
