⚠️ SYRIA – Iran's IRGC holds a meeting with leaders of affiliated militias at Ain Ali shrine in the eastern Deir Ezzor region — North Press Agency

A military source from the IRGC said that Hajj Ali, who is in charge of IRGC armaments, and two Lebanese Hezbollah officers attended the meeting and discussed recent developments in Deir ez-Zor.

The meeting took place amid tight security measures and strict guarding in the vicinity of the shrine, which Iran built in 2018 and later turned it into a base.

Thirteen Syrian, Iraqi, and Lebanese leaders convened to discuss military updates and security measures. During the meeting, they reached an agreement to provide leaders of Iranian militias with armored vehicles and enhanced protection.

The meeting addressed the repeated targeting of IRGC facilities in Deir ez-Zor, mostly by militants affiliated with the
Islamic State (ISIS).
