ለሶሻል ወርክ ምሩቃን በሙሉ

ከኢትዮጵያ ሶሻል ወርክ ባለሙያዎች ማህበር (Ethiopian Professional Social Workers Association) የተላለፈ ጥሪ

የኮሮና ቫይረስ ለዓለም ስጋት መሆኑን ቀጥሏል። በአሁኑ ከ1 ሚሊዮን በላይ ሰዎች በቫይረሱ እንደተያዙ በምርመራ ተረጋግጧል። በርካታ ሰዎች ምርመራ ቢያደርጉ በበሽታው የተያዙ ሰዎች ቁጥር ከዚህም ሊያልፍ ይችላል።

የቫይረሱን ስርጭት አስጊ የሚያደርገው የመተላለፊያ መንገዶቹ መብዛትና ለመቆጣጠርም አዳጋች መሆኑ ሲሆን፣ የዓለምን ኢኮኖሚያዊና ማህበራዊ እንዲሁም ፖለቲካዊ ገጽታዎች እያደባየ ይገኛል።

በዚህም ምክንያት ሰዎች የኮሮና ቫይረስ ሊያደርስባቸው ከሚችላቸው አካላዊ ጤና በላይ ስነልቡናዊና ማህበራዊ ችግሮቹ ገዝፈው ይታያሉ። በዚህ አስቸጋሪ ወቅት ሰዎች ከስጋት ነጻ መሆን መቻል አለባቸው። ቫይረሱ ቢይዛቸው እንኳን ተርጋግተው ራሳቸውን በመንከባከብ ሳይሳቀቁ ለተወሰኑ ሳምንታት ራሳቸውን ወሸባ በማስገባት (self-quarantine) እርምጃ በመውሰድ ራሳቸውን ከመገለልና ሌሎችንም ከስጋትና በበሽታው ከመያዝ መከላከል ይችላሉ።

በሽታው የጠናባቸውና ተጨማሪ የህክምና ዕርዳታ ማግኘት የሚፈልጉ ታማሚዎች አፋጣኝ እርዳታ በሚፈልጉበት ወቅት ምን ማድረግ እንዳለባቸው የሚረዳቸው አካል ያስፈልጋቸዋል። ወሸባ የገቡትና በቤት ለመቆየት የተገደዱትም ቢሆኑ ከእንቅስቃሴያቸው በመገታቱ ምክንያት የሚያጧቸውን ጥቅሞች በማሰብና የህይወት እንቅስቃዎቻቸው በመገደባቸው ምክንያት የሚያጋጥሟቸውን የተለያዩ ጫናዎች ብሎም ጭንቀቶች እንዴት ማስወገድ እንዳለባቸው የሚረዳቸው አካል ያስፈልጋቸዋል።

የሶሻል ወርክ ባለሙያዎች (social workers) የሚያስፈልጉት ለእንደነዚህ ያሉ የቀውስ ጊዜያት ነው። ማህበራችን የ ሙያዊና ሃገራዊ ግዴታዎቻችንን እንድንወጣ ጥሪ ያቀርባል። ስለሆነም በሶሻል ወርክ ሙያ የተመረቃችሁ ባለሙያዎች ለዚህ ጥሪ በጎ ምላሽ እንድትሰጡ ማህበራችን ሙያዊ ጥሪውን ያስተላልፋል።

ከዚህ ጋርም በተያያዘ ያሉ አዳዲስ ነገሮችን በቀጣይነት የምናሳውቅ መሆናችንን ልንገልጽ እንወዳለን!!

Guled: The association is now 3 years since we have it registered and certified from the charity agency and re registered with the new proclamation ,so far the association had engaged with different activities one of them was communicating with civil service and ministry of health about the profession and it role in different settings and also the existence of a national association , the communication continued to discuss on new job evaluation of the health sector Which influenced the social workers unit in hospitals ,the job evaluation used the sociology curriculum to study the role of social workers in hospital and they came up with a conclusion that social workers have no direct engagement with patients and work under the administration ,then we approached the ministry and discussed the problem of the evaluation , after a long back an forth they accepted it and asked for the cariculum , then the association wrote latter , Addis Ababa University school of social work sent the cariculum and a letter about the role of social workers in hospital setting . Then the ministry of health requested a support to develope guideline for social workers in health settings and 4 social workers are now in the team and the guideline is finalized. The other activity was training social workers in hospital for 2 days at Zewditu Memorial hospital and invited Dr Serkalem on the training , we had hospital social workers from over 9 public hospitals, part of this activity was to develop a checklist for social workers and a referral system of clients form one hospital to the other.

The association is mobilizing social workers all over the country in response to covid-19 by preparing online database and now we have assigned 3 social workers to Quentin’s centers after taking trainings on different topics like self care and protection measures and psychological first aid from IOM & Ethiopian public health institution, the reason we sent these 3 social workers is that once they understand the environment then they can orient the new coming social workers and do an effective engagement.

The other area that we want to work on is the other social problems that are not yet visible like domestic violence , and this will be working in existing infrastructure of government and NGOs to deliver our professional services to the wider community.

The below ideas and suggestion were given by the participants

1. The government is trying to prepare food banks in different place of the city and the Pray minister call on prepare food for one extra person and share it with people how are not abel to find food these could be an area where social workers help design the system that could really be reaching the needy and in a way how it could not bring big gathering of individual , this could be like mesjid, church , Edir and community police centers.
2. By using the existing structures providing psycho-social counseling to the public , this could be Telegraphy by social workers and other activities
3. Preparing burnout management system to all the professional are providing services on the front line and their family.
4. Preparing the lists of terms that are used while creating awareness and taking the appropriate or politically correct word and provide them to the media , government and other parties that take part in the awareness creation activities
5. There are some part of the population that are invisible like street prostitutes , daily laborer and street vendor women, these part of the population are not in the radar of the government and other support providers cause its difficult to locate them where they are and what they do, so there must be a way social workers put the light on these part of the population and be seen and heard by the government and other support providers .

Communication work should be done by the association stating that there are social workers being mobilized all over the country and explain their role in fighting different social problems in the community and do the work part of this could be sending letters to Minister of Health, minister of labor & social affairs ,minister women and children affairs and the media.
7. The impact of staying home on Children who don't have the means to follow the education that is being provided on tv radio and the internet is very high ,one of the recommended activity was to support this kids with different learning materials that could keep them in the momentum of the education and also get entertained .
8. The association is very much in need of support to execute the above activities and function, the quicker and most effective way to mobilize resource is fundraising with in the social work professionals all over the country, the resource that is being mobilized will be used to cover admin cost and other logistics costs to function and pull more resources.

እንደሚታወቀው የኢትዮጵያ ሶሻል ወርክ ባለሞያዎች ማህበር በኢትዮጵያ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን ህጋዊ ሰውነትን አግኝቶ በምዝገባ ቁጥር 3801 በይፋ ድርጅታዊ አላማውን ለማሳካት በመንቀሳቀስ ላይ የሚገኝ የሙያ ማህበር ነው። ማህበሩ በዋናነት እንደ አላማ ሰንቆ የሚንቀሳቀስበት ጉዳይ ለሶሻል ወርክ ሞያ እና በሞያው ተመርቀው አገልግሎት በመስጠት ላይ ለሚገኙ የዘርፉ ባለሞያዎች ተገቢውን ትኩረት እንዲሰጥ ማድረግ እና ብሎም ሞያውና ባለሞያው አገራዊ ፋይዳቸው የጎላ ሆኖ እንዲገኝ እና ሞያው በሚያሰማራቸው ዘርፎች ሁሉ የበኩላቸውን ድርሻም ለማህበረሰቡ እንዲወጡ ማስቻል ነው፡፡ ይህንን አላማ ከግብ ለማድረስ ይረዳው ዘንድ ማህበሩ በሞያው ዘርፍ ላሉ ባለሞያዎች ከመላው የሃገሪቷ ክፍል እና ከያሉበት ተቋማት ማህበሩን እንዲቀላቀሉ ጥሪዎችን በማድረግ ላይ ይገኛል፡፡ በመሆኑም በሶሻል ወርክ ሞያ ተመርቃችሁ በስራ ላይ ተሰማርታችሁ የምትገኙ ባለሞያዎች በሙሉ ማህበሩን ለመቀላቀልም ሆነ ተጨማሪ መረጃዎችን ለማግኘት የሚከተሉትን የመረጃ መረብ እና ግለሰቦች በአድራሻቸው ማግኘት የምትችሉ መሆኑን እያሳወቅን “ኑ ለጋራ ለውጥና ስኬት አብረን እንስራ፤ አብረን እንጓዝ፤ አብረን እኛንና ማህበረሰባችንንም እንለውጥ” እንላለን!
