📌ESPDP PHASE #2 MEETING WITH DIMITRIS SYMEONIDIS ON CARBON CAPTURING

📅Yesterday, on the 13th of April, our international expert, Dimitris Symeonidis, delivered a lecture on carbon removal techniques as a part of ESPDP Phase #2.

💡The expert in Hydrogen and Market analysis at VaasaETT elaborated on the modern efficient techniques utilised in order to tackle carbon emissions. Moreover, the ESPDP participants examined carbon capture and carbon storage, the notions bearing critical importance for the mitigation of the global warming effects. In addition, members of ESPDP Project Teams had opportunities to enquire about carbon removal-related questions and the support for emerging carbon removal technologies.

Our Energy Sustainability Professionals Development Program (ESPDP) will now be known as Energy Sustainability Program (ESP) 🌍

We understand that the previous name was quite long and perhaps difficult for some to pronounce and remember, which is why we decided to make this change. Our new name is much simpler and easier to write, making it more accessible for all💡

💡During the webinar, the Associate Professor at SPbPU elaborated on how to conduct a comprehensive assessment of business ideas as an entrepreneur. The expert shone the spotlight on the economic feasibility tools which can be employed in the assessment in order to increase its efficacy as well as explained how to use the results of the evaluation so as to improve the presentation of a business proposal.

📅 Expert and Researcher at the University of California (USA) and Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Riccardo Chebac, delivered a lecture on the 10th of May dedicated to the topic of Nuclear Energy.

💡Over the course of the webinar Riccardo Chebac dispelled myths and concerns pertaining to nuclear energy, shared important facts about the subject as well as illustrated a key role nuclear power plays in the energy transition. Besides, the speaker introduced the audience to nuclear hybrid systems which promote the use of nuclear power in tandem with renewable sources of energy in order to decrease the reliance on fossil fuels. ESP participants had an opportunity to pose their questions to the leading expert in the field of nuclear energy.
