We are happy to inform you that today the Training of Mentors (ToM) started in Kashkadarya region. ESN Coach, Karen Kuhel, and ESN Core Trainers facilitated the sessions for 33 Regional Peer Mentors (RPMs) in the Scientific Research Institute named after A. Avloniy in Karshi. The ToM is designed to prepare the Regional Peer Mentors (RPMs) to take on the role of mentor and support other English teachers in their professional growth.

The ToM kicks off the RPM-Mentee Community of Practice Cascade. The ToM consists of 4 parts: Working with Adults, Mentoring vs Training, 6 Principles and TETE Planning Session, and Community of Practice (CoP).

At the end of ToM, the RPMs received their certificates for successfully completing a 60-hour professional development course in the spring and summer. The professional development course was based on TESOL International Association's The 6 Principles for Exemplary Teaching of English Learners and George Mason University's Teaching English Through English.

Stay tuned for more updates on ToM sessions across all the regions of Uzbekistan.
