የኢትዮጵያ ቀይ መስቀል ማኅበር በአማራ ክልል ሰሜን ወሎ ዞን ቡግና ወረዳ አራት ቀበሌዎች ለሚገኙ በተደጋጋሚ ድርቅ እና ሰው ሰራሽ አደጋዎች ምክንያት ለከፍተኛ የምግብ ዋስትና ችግር ለተጋለጡ 2,240 ወገኖቻችን የምግብ ድጋፍ አደረገ፡፡ ድጋፉ 336 ኩንታል የስንዴ ዱቄት እና 1,120 ሊትር የምግብ ዘይት ያካተተ ሲሆን ይህም በአካባቢው የሚገኙ ግንባር ቀደም ተጋላጭ ወገኖችን የምግብ ዋስትና ችግር ለማቃለል ያለመ ነው፡፡
ማኅበሩ ለምግብ ዋስትና ችግር የተጋለጡ ወገኖቻችንን ህይወት ለመታደግ የሚያስችል ተጨማሪ ሰብዓዊ ድጋፍ ወደ አካባቢው ለማድረስ ጥረቱን አጠናክሮ የሚቀጥል ይሆናል፡፡
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) has extended vital support to 2,240 individuals affected by recurrent drought and severe food insecurity in four kebeles of Bugna Woreda, North Wollo Zone, Amhara Region. The assistance includes 336 quintals of wheat flour and 1,120 liters of edible oil, aimed at addressing the immediate food needs of the vulnerable population in the woreda.
The Society will continue its efforts to provide additional humanitarian assistance in the area to save the lives of those vulnerable to food insecurity.

ማኅበሩ በሠራተኞቹ እና በአምቡላንሶቹ ላይ በተፈፀመ ዘግናኝ ጥቃት እጅግ ማዘኑን ይገልፃል፡፡

የማኅበሩ አምቡላንሶች በኦሮሚያ ክልል ምስራቅ ወለጋ ዞን ሲቡ ሲሬ ወረዳ እና በአማራ ክልል ሰሜን ጎንደር ዞን ታች አርማጭሆ ወረዳ ለህይወት አድን ተግባር በሚንቀሳቀሱበት ወቅት ባልታወቁ ኃይሎች በተተኮሰባቸው ጥይት የሁለቱም አምቡላንስ አሽከርካሪዎች ለከፍተኛ ጉዳት የተዳረጉ ሲሆን አምቡላንስ ተሽከርካሪዎቹም ላይ ጉዳት ደርሷል፡፡

ማኅበሩ ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ ሠራተኞቹን ጨምሮ በበጎፈቃደኞቹ እና ተሽከርካሪዎቹ ላይ በሚፈፀሙ ጥቃቶች አማካኝነት ሰብዓዊ አገልግሎቱን ለሚፈልጉ ወገኖች ለማድረስ ፈተና እየሆነበት ነው፡፡ በመሆኑም ጥቃት የሚፈፅሙ የትኛውም ተፋላሚ ኃይሎች ድርጊቱ ኢትዮጵያ የፈረመችውን ዓለም አቀፍ የጄኔቫ ሥምምነቶችን የሚፃረርና ከማኅበሩ ዓላማ ውጪ መሆኑን ተረድተው የማኅበሩ ሠራተኞች፣ በጎፈቃደኞችም ሆኑ ተሽከርካሪዎች በነፃነት ተንቀሳቅሰው ሰብዓዊ ተግባራቸውን ማከናወን እንዲችሉ፣ ደህንነታቸው እንዲጠበቅ፣ ከመሰል ድርጊታቸው እንዲቆጠቡና ማኅበረሰቡም ድርጊቶቹን እንዲያወግዝ የተለመደ ተማፅኗችንን እናቀርባለን፡፡

በመጨረሻም ማኅበሩ የወገኖቻቸውን ህይወት ለመታደግ ሲንቀሳቀሱ የጥቃት ሰለባ በመሆን መተኪያ የሌላት ውድ ህይወታቸውን ላጡ ሠራተኞች እና በጎፈቃደኞች ቤተሰቦች መፅናናትን እንዲሁም ለተጎዱት በቶሎ ማገገምን ይመኝላቸዋል፡፡

ማኅበሩ ከ316 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ ድጋፍ አደረገ

የኢትዮጵያ ቀይ መስቀል ማኅበር ከጀርመን ቀይ መስቀል ጋር በመተባበር በኦሮሚያ እና ሶማሌ ክልሎች በተመረጡ ወረዳዎች ድርቅን ለመቋቋም እና እሱን ተከትሎ ሊከሰቱ የሚችሉ ጉዳቶችን አስቀድሞ ለመከላከል የሚያስችሉ ተግባራትን እያከናወነ ይገኛል። እነዚህ ተግባራት በኦሮሚያ ክልል ምስራቅ ባሌ ዞን ሰዌና፣ ራይቱ እና ለገሂዳ ወረዳዎች እንዲሁም በሶማሌ ክልል ሸበሌ ዞን አባ ኮሮ፣ በራኖ፣ ዳናን እና ምስራቅ ኢሜይ ወረዳዎች የሚተገበሩ ናቸው።

በዚህም መሰረት ማኅበሩ በተጠቀሱት ሁለቱም ክልል ወረዳዎች ለሚገኙ 25 ሺህ አባወራዎች በድምሩ 261.25 ሚሊዮን ብር የጥሬ ገንዘብ ድጋፍ አድርጓል፡፡ በተጨማሪም ከ55 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ በሚሆን ወጪ የእንስሳት መኖን ለ1,500 አባወራዎች በማከፋፈል፣ ከ50 ሺህ በላይ የቤት እንስሳትን በመከተብ እና በፀሃይ ሃይል የሚሰሩ የውሃ ተቋማትን በመገንባትና በመጠገን ላይ ይገኛል።

ማኅበሩ አደጋ ከተከሰተ በኋላ ከሚያደርገው ምላሽ በተጨማሪ አደጋን አስቀድሞ ለመከላከልና የሚያስከትለውን ጉዳት ለመቀነስ የሚያስችሉ ተግባራትን በተለያዩ አካባቢዎች እያከናወነ ይገኛል፡፡

የኢትዮጲያ ቀይ መስቀል ማኅበር ከብሪታንያ ቀይ መስቀል ጋር በመተባበር ምቹና ከፆታዊ ጥቃት ነጻ የሆነ የሥራ-ቦታ መፍጠር (Safeguarding/PSEA) እና ጠቀሜታዎቹን በተመለከተ የማኅበሩ የሥራ ኃላፊዎችን፣ የክልል ቅርንጫፍ ጽ/ቤት ኃላፊዎችን እና የፕሮግራም አስተባባሪዎችን ያሳተፈ ውይይት አካሄደ፡፡

በዕለቱ በአመራር አካላት ድርሻ እንዲሁም ምቹና ከፆታዊ ጥቃት ነጻ የሆነ የሥራ-ቦታ የመፍጠር ድርጅታዊ-ባህል ግንባታ ዙሪያ ውይይት ተደርጓል፡፡ የውይይቱ ተሳታፊዎች ከጉዳዩ ጋር በተገናኘ ማኅበሩ በአሁኑ ወቅት የሚገኝበትን ደረጃ የገመገሙ ሲሆን፣ በውይይቱ የተለዩ ክፍተቶችን ለመሙላት ያስችላሉ ያሏቸውን ተግባራት ለማከናወን የድርጊት መርሃ ግብር አዘጋጅተዋል።

ERCS, in collaboration with the British Red Cross (BRC), held a Safeguarding/PSEA Sensitization Workshop for its Senior Management Team, Regional Branch Heads, and Program Coordinators.

The discussion centered on the crucial role of leadership in shaping an inclusive organizational culture that fosters a conducive and gender-neutral workplace. Participants evaluated the Society’s current status on the matter, identified key gaps, and proposed targeted activities to address them. The session concluded with the development of a concrete action plan to drive meaningful change.

Norwegian Red Cross Delegates Visit ERCS, Reaffirm Strong Partnership and Priority to Ethiopia.
A delegation from the Norwegian Red Cross, led by its President Siri Hatlen, paid a courtesy visit to the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS). They were warmly welcomed by ERCS President Abera Tola and Acting Secretary General Abera Lulessa, along with senior management members, who provided an extensive briefing on the humanitarian situation in Ethiopia and ERCS's response efforts.
ERCS higher officials expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Norwegian Red Cross for its long-standing partnership and collaboration in addressing critical humanitarian challenges. The Norwegian delegation acknowledged the vital role of this collaboration and emphasized that Ethiopia remains a top priority in their humanitarian support agenda.
