Before performing tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy, always re-examine the palate—even if it looks completely normal.
1/ Do not rely on appearance alone; palpate for the hard palate notch, as it may be the only clue to an occult (submucous) cleft palate.
2/Missing this finding can result in velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI) after surgery.

نقاط تذكير سريعه ليا ولزمايلي
✅ASOT indicates a recent or past infection with group A streptococcus

✅A high value does not always mean active infection.

✅Rises after 1–3 weeks of infection.

✅Peaks at 3–6 weeks.

✅Declines gradually over 6–12 months.
👉 So, it can stay high for months even after infection resolved

✅High ASOT is only significant when linked to conditions like rheumatic fever, post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, or other immune-mediated complications.

✅Isolated high ASOT without symptoms is usually not an indication for antibiotics

✅Measuring ASOT twice, 2 weeks apart, showing a rising titre is more diagnostic than a single elevated result

✅Some people naturally have high baseline ASOT (children especially).

✅ASOT (Anti-streptolysin O titer) is not used for follow-up of patients with rheumatic fever.

أكتب ما أكتبه بعد تجربة مع خوض غمار عمليات في العمود الفقري وما حدث من مشكلات
خلاصتها ياكرام
1- أنت كطبيب أنف وأذن حافظ على رقبتك صدقتى المرض وحش وما يطيقه جسمك فى شبابك لن يطيقه في كبرك فاحطت لنفسك
2- حذار لهفة الشغل ينسيك تحافظ على وضع رقبتك بشكل صحيح
3- تعلم ما هو وضع الرقبة الصحيح قبل جلوسك على الميكروسكوب او استخدام المناظير وطبعا مش هقولك على الموبايل
4- أنت كطبيب كبير وهناك من هو تحتك بالله انتبه وانشر الوعي بين النواب لأن هذه أمانة وستسأل عنها
5- ليست النائحة الثكلى كالنائحة المستعارة فاعتبر بغيرك
