Hello, my name is Alan Stoskopf. I am a freelance journalist from Boston, Massachusetts and an ENGin volunteer tutor. My fellow researcher, Tatyana Tsyrlina-Spady, is also an ENGin tutor. We are writing a major article focusing on how the arts in Ukraine have served as a form of cultural resistance to the Russian invasion. Part of the article would include interested ENGin learners sharing why any of the arts, ranging from street murals to poetry readings, to musical performances, are important to your own humanity and sense of Ukrainian identity.

🤩This is an exciting opportunity for ENGin learners to have their voice heard in an international online/print magazine. The interview would be a short conversation, lasting around 10-15 minutes, and conducted via a video platform (Google Meet or Zoom). I or my research partner would love to find out why and how any particular form of cultural expression you have experienced since the Russian invasion have been meaningful for you.

📅 If you are interested in this project, let us know as soon as possible. Most interviews would take place between 4 pm and 8pm Ukrainian time. Exceptions could be made on an individual case basis. If you are quoted or referenced in the article, you would have the choice of how you would like to be identified. We hope to talk to five to ten people from across Ukraine.

➡️If you are interested in participating, please contact me as soon as possible: alanstoskopf@gmail.com
