[ENG] ENGINE is a short abbreviation of the main project target industry – engineering.
It emphasizes the meaning of civil engineering in the development of the region, as an important part of the project is aimed to:
💧 improve services offered by industry associations to engineering companies ir Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan;
💧 introduce certification for engineers to assure high quality standards in investment project implementation.

Engineering is highly knowledge-intensive and practical industry, where different legal aspects must be acknowledged and different actors, including new generations and woman can be involved.

The ascetic and pure design of ENGINE reflects the precision and confidence required to implement high-quality solutions.

[ENG] ENGINE is being implemented by:

1) CLEANTECH LATVIA - cluster organization offering wide competencies and technologies for sustainable and environmentally friendly businesses. Organization provides studies, strategic planning, design and delivery of solutions and technologies for governments, municipalities and industries, as well as full-spectrum of public services for local, regional and national authorities, water, waste, air and energy efficient solutions and technologies for industry;

2) UZACE - Non-governmental and non-profit organization, which voluntarily unites legal entities and individuals who are professionally involved in the implementation of design, engineering, as well as consulting services in the field of construction in the Republic of Uzbekistan and assists through coordination of cooperation and professional development of its members in the implementation of design and engineering works , providing consulting services in Uzbekistan;

3) Kazakhstan Su Arnasy - open non-profit organization which represents and protects the rights and legitimate interests of water supply and sanitation enterprises in all state bodies, public and other organizations on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and beyond.

[ENG] 📌 On September 16, 2020 a cycle of online seminars on exchange of European experience in the field of certification of civil engineers in water sector starts in the framework "Capacity Building of Industry Associations Serving Engineering Companies in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan"!
During the upcoming online seminars, participants will have a unique opportunity to learn how regulation of civil engineering and certification of engineers can affect the further growth of the water sector in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. [ENG] Yesterday, on September 16, 2020 the first ENGINE online-seminar in the Cycle of Seminars “CERTIFICATION SYSTEM FOR CIVIL ENGINEERS Experience of Latvia” was held! ⚖️
The seminar was attended by more than 70 representatives of companies and associations working in engineering industry, as well as representatives of the European Union delegation in Uzbekistan – Head of Cooperation Mr. Francois Begeot and Project manager Mr. Elbek Khodjaev. 🇪🇺
Knowledge and experience was shared by director of Contruction Policy department Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Ms. Olga Feldmane, 1st certified civil engineer in water sector in Latvia and member of the Board of Latvian Association of Heat, Gas and Water technology Mr. Aivars Brambis and Deputy Head of Construction Engineers Certification Center Mr. Osvalds Tautietis.
The first online seminar clearly showed that the interest in the topic of engineers’certification in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is high, which confirms the relevance of project ENGINE and provides incentive to continue the work we have started!
We are honored and grateful for such wide interest and participation in question-answer session, despite the remote participation of speakers and listeners! 🙏🏼

В семинаре приняли участие более 70 человек – представители ассоциаций, микро-, малых и средних предприятий (ММСП), работающие в инженерной отрасли и государственные служащие, а также представители делегации Европейского Союза в Узбекистане - руководитель по сотрудничеству г-н Франсуа Бежо и руководитель проекта г-н Эльбек Ходжаев. 🇪🇺
Знаниями и опытом поделились директор Департамента строительной политики Министерства экономики Латвийской Республики г-жа Ольга Фельдмане, член правления Латвийской ассоциации инженеров по теплотехнике, газовой и водной технике, опытный инженер, 1-й сертифицированный инженер-строитель в водном секторе Латвии, опытный предприниматель г-н. Айварс Брамбис и заместитель руководителя Центра сертификации инженеров-строителей Латвийской ассоциации инженеров по теплотехнике, газовой и водной технике, магистр техн.наук г-н Освальдс Таутиетис.
Первый онлайн-семинар наглядно показал, что интерес к теме сертификации инженеров-строителей в Казахстане и Узбекистане очень высок, что подтверждает актуальность проекта ENGINE и дает стимул продолжать начатую нами работу!
