Amen Frew is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and social change, currently serving as the African United Nations Youth Delegate for Ethiopia. In this role, she represents the voices of Ethiopian youth on international platforms, advocating for their inclusion in global decision-making processes.
Amen also works as the Ethiopia Partnerships Coordinator at Partners Worldwide, where she focuses on enhancing entrepreneurship and economic development through strategic partnerships. Additionally, she is a member of the Youth Sounding Board for the European Union, where she advises on initiatives that engage young people in meaningful dialogue.

🎥 Ruth is a media and development practitioner with over 7 years of experience in research, project management, human rights campaigns, social justice advocacy, and communications.
🌍 She serves as Secretary of the 15-member Africa Youth Advisory Board on Disaster Risk Reduction (AYAB-DRR), established by the African Union Commission.
👉 She represented youth during the Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction where she spoke against youth being used as tokens.
📣 Ruth has a proven track record of advocacy, including establishing the first-ever Zimbabwe Youth Desk on
DRR, recognized by the Zimbabwe government.
🎓 She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and
a BSc Hons degree in Journalism and Media Studies.

Over the two days, our participants engaged in Training new trainers (TNT) and Training new research exchange trainers (TNRET) workshops.
The event has been a tremendous learning experience and these workshops fostered a dynamic environment for medical students to enhance their skills in research, exchange and facilitation, empowering them to effect positive change within their communities.
