1️⃣Sleep over:
شب را در خانه‌ای غیر از خانه‌ی خود ماندن
My friend invited me to sleep over at her house.
دوستم دعوتم کرد شب را خانه‌شان بمانم.
2️⃣Sleep on it:
گرفتن زمان برای فکر کردن درباره‌ی تصمیمی
I’m not sure if I should accept the job offer. I’ll sleep on it.
مطمئن نیستم پیشنهاد کار را قبول کنم یا نه، باید درباره‌اش فکر کنم.
3️⃣Sleep through:
متوجه نشدن یا بیدار نشدن از چیزی در هنگام خواب
He slept through the alarm and was late for work.
او زنگ ساعت را نشنید و دیر سر کار رفت.
4️⃣Sleep off:
خوابیدن برای از بین بردن اثرات چیزی
(مثلاً خستگی، مستی، بیماری)
He needed to sleep off the effects of the medicine.
باید می‌خوابید تا اثر دارو از بین برود.
5️⃣Sleep apart:
جداگانه خوابیدن (معمولاً در مورد زوج‌ها)
They have been sleeping apart for a while now.
