- Create a simple design with shapes and lines in one square. π¨
- Explain that students will guide you to recreate the design in the second square without looking at the first one. πβ
- Take instructions from students (e.g., "Draw a big circle in the middle").
- Follow their guidance, and if instructions are unclear, draw it wrong to encourage clarification. π£βοΈ

- Put them into pairs (A and B):
- A describes their design while B draws itβwithout seeing the original!
- Allow students to use their notes on prepositions and vocabulary.

If you really want to make the most out of 2025, youβre in the right place!
Previously, I talked about Time Management Techniques using the Time Matrix.
Today, Iβm excited to share another handy tool: Action Priority Matrix (APM).
To-do lists are great, but many of us still struggle with figuring out what to tackle first. This can lead to:
-
-
-
The Action Priority Matrix breaks tasks into four quadrants, helping you work *smarter*, not harder:
πΉ
Tasks that require minimal effort but provide big results. Examples:
- Updating slides
- Adding student FAQs to new TKT materials
πΉ
Time-intensive tasks that have a significant impact. Examples:
- Designing new courses π¨
- Creating comprehensive study materials
πΉ
Smaller, less critical tasks you can do between bigger projects. Examples:
- Handling quick admin inquiries if nobody else is available
πΉ
Low-priority tasks that take too much effort. Reevaluate them! Examples:
- Repeated or unnecessary tasks that drain your energy
π
1.
2. π― Rate each taskβs impact and effort.
3.
4.
Iβve always used the Time Management Matrix and standard to-do lists, but using the APM for the first time was a game-changer. It worked so well that I had to share it with all of you!
If you donβt manage your time, it will manage you.
