Who do you think learns a language faster, children or adults?

Definitely, children! Since children’s brains are like sponges, absorbing new information, they undoubtedly pick up (learn) languages much faster. Furthermore, children’s memories are much sharper, so it is easier for them to remember new vocabulary. On the other hand, adults are more concrete in their native language and the world they’ve built from it, so they tend to be less open to accept another language. Children, on the other hand, can play games or watch cartoons in another language from a young age and pick up the language without even realizing it. The only advantage that adults have is that their behavior doesn’t stand in the way of their language learning, they are more motivated to learn, and that they are more likely to review and study at home. Furthermore, they pay for the classes, so they are much more invested (care about what they’re doing)!

In light of the current socio-economic situation of the world, do you think this the right time for wild life preservation? If yes, what are the ways and means you suggest for this?"

The present day is the age of contradictions of opinions, inventions, and actions. As if to exemplify, the civilized man pampers the wilderness while devouring it. But this paradox is practically inevitable since we exploit the wild for sustenance and, hence, we must sustain it for our continued future. So, regardless of economics or societal factors, wild life must be preserved at any and all times. We must conserve, and cohabit with, the wild which, in fact, will preserve it in the long run.
It is true that for us to survive we must exploit the environment and all life in it. So preservationist campaigns that suggest leaving the wilderness alone or becoming a part of it has not been so popular and viable. A wiser approach is conservation, using the God sent resources sparingly like fiscal savings. Being wasteful, in any facet of life, is reproachable, and same goes for wild life. If we exploit nature only so economically that we obtain our nourishment while keeping her so sound that she continues bearing fruit, we will be best off, as not only us, but also generations to come will have sustained this way. Being wasteful and destructive will only usurp the natural resources catastrophically faster which may cause the untimely demise of all humans. Also, if we keep the spirit of harmony and learn to cohabit with wild life, all may live. This planet is in fact big enough for sustaining all life. So, being destructive to that which does not fight back is foolish, especially when the non-aggressor is our sole source.

To conclude, here, we should never be scrutinizing whether it is the right time for preserving wild life because any time is a good time, and, practically, the only time, for guaranteeing that nature sustains so that she withholds us and others with nurturi

✍️Eslab qolamiz "male" va "female" so'zlari Ingliz tilida ko'pincha yoki biologik yoki klinik kontekstda ishlatiladi. Academic WritingDA, ya'ni IELTS Writingda esa "women" va "men" so'zlari ko'proq mos keladi.

‼️Once again, "male" va "female" IELTS Writingda faqat "adjective" sifatida ishlating, ot sifatida emas.

Misol uchun:

In the table, close relationships make up the biggest figures for both males and females, at 42% and 34% respectively = xato
In the table, close relationships make up the biggest figures for both men and women, at 42% and 34% respectively = to'g'ri

✍️"Adjective" sifatida:
Both male and female teachers were satisfied with the customer service at the restaurant

IELTS Writing Task 1 = "male and female" should ideally be used only as ADJECTIVES, never as NOUNS

What are the advantages and disadvantages of online shopping?

The advantages would be that it’s more convenient and saves loads of time, avoiding those dreaded (terrible) lines. Furthermore, sites like Amazon tend to have secondhand (used) items, so you can save a lot of money this way. The negatives are that you cannot try clothing on before, sometimes items don’t look the same in person, the shipping fees, and the time you have to wait for the item. By the same token, it’s a hassle (annoyance) to send it back if there’s an issue. So, all in all, there are more disadvantages, I’d say.

Do you think it is safe to shop online?

Depends on the site. If you use a reputable one like Amazon or the store’s website, it is generally very safe. However, buying from private sellers online, especially in their homes, can be risky. Furthermore, scams always exist online, so you never know if someone could be scamming you. I always say, if you have time, it’s better to go buy the item in person to gain more trust in the purchase.

#task1 ❗️❗️❗️

The chart below shows the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

@ELTS8BANDSUCCESS
The bar chart shows the percentage of people in England and Wales who owned or rented their property over a period of nearly one hundred years, beginning in 1918 and ending in 2011. The data is inversely correlated, meaning that as the number owners increased, the number of renters decreased.

In 1918, accommodations were overwhelmingly rented, with nearly 80% of people renting their homes rather than owning them. Twenty years later, this figure had dropped to less than 70% of people, and there was no change over the next decade and a half.

From 1961 onwards, the percentage of people owning a home exploded, while the number of renters went into free fall. For thirty years this trend continued, until around the millennium it slowed down, and finally began to reverse in 2011. Between 2001 and 2011, the percentage of homeowners decreased for the first time in more than a half century.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SPELLING

Well, now that you don’t feel so bad about your bad spelling, let’s look at some ways to improve your spelling.
There are two problems you have to overcome.

The first is that English is a mess. There aren’t any 100% consistent rules for English spelling.

The second is that once you start spelling a word wrong, it’s easy to keep doing it your whole life. That’s why I’m still messing up the word ‘address’ 20 years later!
Even though there aren’t consistent rules for English spelling there are still some rules. We do have an alphabet after all and it kind of matches the way we say things.
Here are 5 helpful rules:
1. All kids in America learn the ‘i before e except after c’ rhyming rule.
For example, believe, fierce and friend.
But be careful because there are some exceptions like ancient, science and neighbour.
2. If a word has just one sound/syllable like ‘big’ and we add an ending ‘bigger’ we always add an extra consonant.
For example: swimming, hitting, flipping, redder, etc.
3. The plural endings for words with ‘f’ like knife or leaf changes to a v: knives, leaves.
4. Another plural rule is that we add ‘-es’ to any words that ends with x, z, ch, s, ss, sh.
For example, matches, kisses, wishes, quizzes, foxes, etc.
5. Another common rule that kids learn is to change ‘y’ to ‘ie’ when you add an ending to it.
For example, try to tried, cry to cried, baby to babies.
