De mobiele eenheid rukt op richting de demonstranten die naar het Museumplein in Amsterdam zijn gekomen om te demonstreren tegen de coronamaatregelen. Op het plein hadden zich duizenden mensen verzameld.
Burgemeester Halsema heeft een noodbevel afgekondigd voor het Museumplein. Dat betekent dat alle mensen het plein moeten verlaten. In de aankondiging staat dat de politie ‘gefaseerd’ gaat optreden.
Op het moment dat een nabijgelegen kerkklok 12 slaat, hebben zich behoorlijk wat ‘koffiedrinkers’ gemeld op het Museumplein.
Aan alle kanten is het plein omgeven door politie- en ME-busjes. Lichtborden melden dat demonstreren verboden is. Er zijn twee waterkanonnen gearriveerd op het plein.

Dr. Eric Rubin, editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, and an associate physician specializing in infectious disease at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, sits on the administration’s vaccine advisory panel.
Before the panel voted this week to advise the FDA to authorize Pfizer’s COVID-19 jab for kids 5 to 11, Rubin said, in part: “We’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes. That’s how we found out about rare complications of other vaccines, like the rotavirus vaccine.”
“That is literally the most dangerous statement I’ve ever heard in medicine,” Rep. Greg Murphy (R-N.C.), a doctor, said on NTD’s “Capitol Report.”

Austin said he last met with President Joe Biden on December 21 and tested negative that morning. He said he was last in the Pentagon on Thursday. "I met briefly - and only - with a few members of my staff. We were properly masked and socially distanced throughout," Austin said."
