Gisteren vond in de Tweede Kamer het langverwachte oversterfte-debat plaats in een nagenoeg lege plenaire zaal. Hoe is dat te rijmen met de paniek in coronatijd toen iedere dode één te veel was? Ook overlijden er al vier jaar op rij meer dan vijftienduizend mensen meer dan verwacht. We bespraken het allemaal met voormalig huisarts Michael Smulders.

The UK just changed the definition of 'excess deaths' to fit their narrative.😭🤡

In short they now say: 'we've wrongly calculated over the years, so in past years it was higher than previously reported. Hence there is no real significant excess death rise right now'.
