The maps show how the city of Darwin changed from 2009 to 2014. Looking from an overall perspective, it is clear that the city became greener at the expense of the land that had previously been occupied by industries, more educational with the construction of a university building, and more residential with the addition to residential buildings and more accessible with a harbor and footpath that leads to it. The only features that remained unchanged were school, convention center and swimming pools.
In 2009, there were industrial areas to south-west and central parts of the city but after 5 years industries were shut down to give way for trees and a university to the west. Previously empty land in the north-west of the city was used to build a swimming pool.
Another striking change was the introduction of harbor to the east of Darwin with a footpath that leads to it. The city became more residential with the addition of 3 more newly-built apartments in the center of the city. Meanwhile, the fishing area and two swimming pools to the north-east of the city, convention center and school remained intact.

Opinions are divided as to how criminals should be punished, with some believing that imprisonment is the most effective way. However, I do not believe that going to prison effectively discourages from committing crimes and maintaining prisons is expensive for governments. Alternative measures such as rehabilitation and public service might be more effective.
On the one hand, criminals who committed a crime and were put in prisons are highly likely to reoffend after release as prison might not discourage them from committing crimes. In addition, prison culture can be especially harmful to those who are sent to jail for minor and first-time offences as they may learn worse behaviors from other prisoners and return to society more dangerous and disconnected which may turn them into hardened criminals later.
On the other hand, maintaining prisons can be a financial problem for some governments. Providing food, clothing and other basic needs may result in spending from the nationβs budget. Instead, money could be used for education, healthcare, or social programs which are more useful and help improve life and the society as a whole. For example, Japan and South Korea have recently shut down nearly 10% of their prisons to provide public with better education and health service.
However, prison is not always the most effective form of punishment particularly for non-violent and first-time offenders. In contrast, rehabilitation programs could be better alternative as some offenders such as youngsters or drug addicts might need treatment or education rather than jail. Moreover, community service may help prisoners to become better citizens as these programs bring back the sense of responsibility and self-confidence.
In conclusion, while some think that jail is the best method of punishment for offenders, I think it would not work effectively for some prisoners and expenses involved could be used for more important areas. Rehabilitation and public service problems would likely to get better outcomes for both society and individuals

The line graph details the proportions of different transport modes used in one particular country from 1985 to 2015. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that travelling by car showed a significant growth while the reverse was true for bus and others, meanwhile, rail remained stable despite following a fluctuation throughout the period. Car was by far the most used type of transport whereas other types of transport had the lowest percentages.
In 1985, bus had the most number of travels with nearly 55%, followed by car with 30%. Meanwhile, rail and others had much lower shares at 20% and 9% respectively. By 2005, figures for car increased significantly reaching its peak at 85% while bus experienced a dramatic fall approximately to 12%. Similarly, both rail and others declined steadily to 10% and 5% correspondingly until 2005.
In the following decade, all transport types changed to varying degrees with car decreasing noticeably to 70%. By 2015, bus experienced a gradual fall to 9% being overtaken by rail which recovered to its original percentage, 20%. Other types of transport showed a negligible decline to 4% in the final year.

Nowadays, more and more individuals are able to access films and games on mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops at the preferred time and location. Despite the possible advantages of greater convenience and entertainment on the go, I believe that health issues and distraction caused by it outweigh the advantages.
On the one hand, due to modern busy lifestyles, having access to films and video games offers comfort anytime and anywhere - during lunch breaks, or while waiting in line. . In addition, mobile access provides a great way to pass the time or relax when people get often bored, for example during travel and downtime. It offers entertainment for people on the way reducing boredom and making long journeys more enjoyable.
On the other hand, despite having aforementioned benefits, easy access to films and video games wherever and whenever possible can lead to overuse. People might spend too much time playing games and watching films which in turn can lead to addiction and the time spent on these activities could have been used for more important tasks. On top of that, there are more serious concerns worth considering. Excessive screen time might actually develop some health issues, poor eyesight, headaches and lack of physical activity and poor posture caused by sitting in front of screens for a long period of time. Not only that, but also mobile entertainment may cause some distractions especially when people are working and studying. Film or game notifications that pop up on the screens of mobile devices can act as a distractor interrupting the process in the middle of an important task.
In conclusion, having access to films and games through mobile devices can be advantageous in terms of flexibility and comfort. However, there are health risks and interruptions that can outweigh any positives.
