I had the great privilege to talk with Ayaan Hirsi Ali, she has been one of my heroes ever since I read her book ‘Infidel’ published in 2006.

Her new book, ‘Prey: Immigration, Islam, and the Erosion of Women’s Rights’, is a daring book with topics I do not believe you can discuss without bringing a tremendous amount of negative attention to yourself, but which in principle still need to be discussed.

She has had an amazing life, although I am not sure whether it is a life anyone would choose.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Jordan discuss women's safety and cultural assimilation programs.

The safety of women in public spaces has become an increasingly pressing issue in many European countries. Ayaan makes the case that, even though many socioeconomic factors are at play, the cause is in poorly planned cultural assimilation programs. In this discussion, hear Ayaan’s thoughts on why such programs must be established by the receiving society in order to balance its values against the comfort of an arriving minority group.

In the full podcast, Jordan and Ayaan discuss some of the major differences between Islamic and Western culture, including what Islam will and will not accept from the West, and the advantages and disadvantages of Western Imperial Colonialism.

What are your thoughts on this?

Flashback to 1987. God, I loved Montreal.
I had the great pleasure of speaking with Jonathan Pageau, whom I know primarily as a thinker and a carver of orthodox icons that are absolutely beautiful. We discuss the issue of conscience, the perfect mode of being, and more. I hope you all find meaning in this discussion.

The cover of a book catalog I once owned. There is something deeply disturbing about this image, in my view (and that of everyone I have shared it with). Anyone know anything about it? Or some theories about why it is so disturbing?
"I was actually pretty close to the centre in Britain, because it was my first trip there as the chief shareholder of the Telegraph Company. The prime minister invited me to lunch on Saturday at Chequers, and she said, “We need you, we can’t win without you. Are you with us?” I said, “Oh yeah, I’m with you all.”

"We have to make assumptions to move forward. The difference between science and religion is, you can recognize later that those assumptions are wrong. That’s the beauty. That’s what, to me, is the distinction between science and religion."

I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Bret Weinstein who I met about 5 years ago. He is an evolutionary biologist who taught at Evergreen State college until political circumstances made it impossible for that to continue. Bret served as the moderator for 2 discussions I had with Sam Harris. I thought it would be interesting for us to catch up and document that on my YouTube channel.

Bret Weinstein and I discuss the events that led to his resignation from Evergreen State College, dealing with controversy, pair bonding, the new political landscape, paranoia created by having communities online, discordant opinion budgets, and more.
