Hitler's Fear of Germs Shaped Nazi Propaganda.

"...I was reading a book called Hitler’s Table Talk, which was a collection of his spontaneous utterances at mealtimes collected over about three years. It really affected my reading of it, because the number of times he used parasite metaphors really stuck in my mind."

"I started to look at all of the Nazi propaganda from before the Second World War in terms of parasite-stress hypothesis, especially after I also realized that Hitler’s extermination campaign arguably had its origins in public health policy, because they started out with tuberculosis interventions. Then they went to “clean up” the mental hospitals, and so on."

"When you're making a decision, you need to reawaken the costs of inertia. Just going along as you are when everything is changing around you is also a costly decision."

The Biological Cure for Fascism.

"I want to emphasize that the parasite-stress theory of values and sociality is assigned to theory, and hence, it doesn’t make any moral judgments. It doesn’t say conservatism is more moral than liberalism, or vice versa. It’s scientific theory. No value judgments involved there, because it’s scientific theory." - Dr. Randy Thornhill.

How the Spanish Flu Helped Hitler's Nazi Party.

"A recent study has looked at infectious disease in German regions, cities, in relation to voting for Hitler’s National Socialist Party... The more people dying from the Spanish flu in 1918 to 1920 in a city, the greater the vote for the Nazi Party in 1932/1933."

Dr. Thornhill shares his Parasite-stress theory, the critical role that infectious disease plays in humanity, IQ, sex, religion, and conservatism.

Yeonmi Park's account of her experience at Columbia University is harrowing - as someone who had just arrived in the West after her escape from North Korea, the idea that she had to censor herself at a prestigious university like Columbia, or any university for that matter - which have historically been bastions of free thought is horrifying. Her experience serves as one example of just how far the Universities have deteriorated.

I wanted to put this together because I still feel like it’s possible to save the Universities, but more people need to be aware of just how twisted they’ve become before that can happen.

Why are weak people such a problem?

There's a variety of reasons. First of all, if you can't support your own weight, that means somebody else has to. Then, if you don't pick a forthright, useful, and noble pathway through life, you will become bitter and resentful. And once that happens, you'll begin to seek your revenge on the world.

That's not good.

From my interview with Fredrik Skavlan - October 2018.

Sometimes the reason you're suffering is that you won't let go of the thing that's biting you.

If people are impeding your development, you sacrifice your relationship with them.

Guilt by Bloodline in North Korea and the U.S.

“Now also in America, I see these trends of people going after people whose ancestors were perhaps the slave owners, but how is it even relevant to the individual right now who they are? It’s not something they contributed back then.”

You can find my new video, “The End of Universities?” featuring Yeonmi (and others) on my YouTube channel where we discuss the idea of Universities failing in more detail.

What do you do if you're afraid and, to some degree, anxious?

You lay out what you're anxious about in detail. Ask yourself, "What it is that I'm afraid of that might happen?" Next, you deconstruct it into smaller increments - into hypothetically manageable problems - and then you expose yourself, gradually, to the thing that you're afraid of.

The effect of this is not that you become less afraid. What happens instead? You become braver. And that's not the same thing.

It's not like, "well, the world isn't as dangerous as I thought it was, you know, silly me." What happens, realistically, is, "yeah, the damn world's just as dangerous as I thought, or maybe it's even more dangerous than I thought. It turns out that there's something in me that responds to taking that on as a voluntary challenge and grows and thrives as a consequence."

To decide to move forward courageously into the land of the unknown. That's one of the secrets to a good life.
What is the antidote to the suffering and malevolence of life? The highest possible goal.

What is the prerequisite to the pursuit of the highest possible goal? The willingness to adopt the maximum degree of responsibility.

You might object: “Why should I shoulder all that burden? It is nothing but sacrifice, hardship, and trouble.” But what makes you so sure you do not want something heavy to carry? You positively need to be occupied with something weighty, deep, profound, and difficult.

Your life becomes meaningful in precise proportion to the depths of the responsibility you are willing to shoulder.

Do not do what you hate.

I don't mean don't do difficult things. I mean, watch your behaviour. If you're doing things that make you hate yourself, then consider the cost of continuing.

Why North Koreans Have to Break the Law.

"In North Korea right now, you cannot own cars, you cannot own houses. Everything is state-owned... We don’t have freedom.

We cannot even trade. So people started getting into this thing called the black market." Yeonmi Park

It's important for lost young people to develop a vision. They have a vital role to play in the world.

The sad thing is that very few people have heard any encouragement at all in their life. And yet, it takes so little to encourage someone.

When parents go out to find food, children would clean and bring the drinking water, we don’t even have sewage, and going to mountains and bring a lot of the firewood, because we don’t have gas, coal, or anything.

We have to find anything we can find in nature to cook food." - Yeonmi Park

The Psychological Impact of Betrayed Values.

"Whether or not your wife does the dishes when she’s supposed to once really doesn’t destabilize you that much, because not much else depends on it. If she did it 10 times, or something like that, then you might start to question her commitment to your agreements. Then you might question her honesty, and then you might question your relationship. You can go down a rabbit hole pretty quickly."
