Dotchain is a newly launching blockchain network which relies on a system of PoA consensus that can support short block time and lower fees. PoA consensus algorithm does not require miners to be involved at all. In a blockchain network based on PoA, all transactions and blocks are processed by approved validators that replace miners but in dotchain app we use mining simulation.

Dot supply and how it is calculated

Amount of coins mined at the time of mainnet launch are 45% of the total supply. Thus, total supply is total mined coins at the time of mainnet launch + 55%.

It is assumed that the total number of coins mined is 45, so 45 is the 45% of the total supply. Then 45+55 (ie, 55%) equals 100 (Total Supply).

We calculate the supply of ace in the same way we calculate dot because users can earn ace withouts limits, so we have to figure supply in relation to how much ace the entire community has earned.

Amount of coins earned at the time of mainnet launch are 60% of the total supply. Thus, total supply is total earned coins at the time of mainnet launch + 40%.

It is assumed that the total number of coins earned is 60, so 60 is the 60% of the total supply. Then 60+40 (ie, 40%) equals 100 (Total Supply).
