The community is excitedly waiting for the opening ceremony of 2021 Web 3.0 Bootcamp.

12 selected team will participate in a six - month bootcamp to fully develop their ability.

Have you known all these projects?
From now on, we will start our series providing general information about 12 projects.

Our #1 will be Moonbeam Network.

Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform on the Polkadot network that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. This Ethereum compatibility allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes.

Moonbeam aims to provide compatibility with the existing Ethereum developer toolchain and network. It does this by providing a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API, and bridges that connect Moonbeam to existing Ethereum networks. This allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes.

With Moonbeam, developers and projects who moved from Ethereum Network to Polkadot Network can easily deploy their products and DApps on Polkadot.

There are 7 main features including: Governance, Staking, Ethereum Compatibility and The Same Development Environment As Ethereum, RUST Programming Language, Substrate Framework, Blockchain runtime, and Unified Accounts.

Moonbeam and Moonriver will have two different tokens for every single network. Glimmer (GLMR) will be a native token of Moonbeam and River (RIVER) will be a native token of Moonriver. On basic, both Glimmer and River will have the same utilities. The only difference between them is the network.

Moonbeam is backed by the world's leading VCs including Hypersphere, KR1, Binance Labs, ParaFi, Coinbase Ventures, IOSG Ventures, etc.

Don’t forget to register for this event at: https://decoded.polkadot.network/register
Beside Polkadot, Parachain is the second and also the most remarkable topic of Polkadot Decoded 2021

Do you want to increase your knowledge about parachains?
If yes, don’t miss the talk from innovators in the Polkadot ecosystem.

The spotlight of this topic will be the speech of Robert Habermeier and Jeff Burdges, they are Web3 Foundation researcher and Parity developer who aim to educate the community about this diverse layer-1 landscape.

Register for this event at: https://decoded.polkadot.network/register
It’s time to continue our series of 12 projects at 2021 Web 3.0 Bootcamp - the event which the whole community is looking for.

After Moonbeam, our #2 will be SubQuery Network.

SubQuery wants to help Polkadot/Substrate projects build better dApps by allowing anyone to reliably find and consume data faster. Their service will allow users to extract, transform, persist, and query data initially, as well as connect and present data in the future. Their aim is to make this a core piece of infrastructure for the Substrate/Polkadot ecosystem, just as The Graph has become for Ethereum.

SubQuery has introduced several products, including: SubQuery Tools, SubQuery Projects, SubQuery Explorer, and SubQuery Network (coming soon).

SubQuery Tools allow projects to generate their own SubQuery project, defining how the indexer should traverse and aggregate their own network. There’s a SubQuery node package that loads the defined SubQuery project created by the CLI and then indexes the network to a Postgres database. Using Hasura, developers can run GraphQL queries right away over indexed tables. With the help of these tools, and the community support material that the team is always improving, anyone can create and run queries easily.

SubQuery Projects create and deploy projects that will be hosted by SubQuery and can be shared to the Explorer. This help SubQuery achieve their mission to make the world’s decentralised data accessible. SubQuery Projects is the new place where you can publish your projects to their managed service. Once developers connect their GitHub accounts, developers are only minutes away from sharing their SubQuery project to over 500 users of the SubQuery Explorer. Their own project can be hosted online right next to existing SubQuery projects from Acala and Bifrost.

SubQuery Explorer is an online hosted service that provides access to published SubQuery projects made by contributors around the world and managed by the SubQuery team. With SubQuery Explorer, anyone can query and extract Polkadot network data in only minutes and at no cost. Also, SubQuery Explorer provides a playground for discovering available data with example queries. Users can play around with each SubQuery Graph using this explorer without implementing anything in code.

Today is the opening ceremony of 2021 Web 3.0 Bootcamp. Are you excited to participate in this event? Let’s continue to figure out more information about our next project.

#4 will be zCloak Network - A Privacy-focused Computing Platform Based on Polkadot.

zCloak Network provides Zero-Knowledge Proof as a Service based on the Polkadot Network. It enables a new computation paradigm called the Cloaking Space, which provides a private and scalable computation environment for Web 3.0.

Founded in 2020, the zCloak Network project was inspired by the Polkadot vision of Web 3.0 — return the sovereign control of personal data to the users. With its novel approach of Self-Sovereign Data and Self-Proving Computation, zCloak Network enables computation and analysis of personal data without sending them to 3rd party servers. As such, it can prevent private data from being stolen or misused. The zCloak Network uses a zk-STARK based virtual machine for general purpose computations. It can provide Zero-Knowledge Proof as a Service (ZKPaaS) to other parachains in Polkadot/Kusama — serving as a confidential computation infrastructure in the ecosystem.

The zCloak Network project (formerly known as the Starks Network project) has received a grant from the Web3 foundation in September 2020 and has successfully completed its milestones. Currently, the project is in the waiting list of the Rococo V1 testnet. It will test cross-chain ZKP verification with other parachains in Polkadot.

zCloak main features include: Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP), Cloaking Space and the zCloak Network.

zCloak Network will provide all the necessary building blocks to realize the Cloaking Space concept — to build a new type of blockchain that is private and scalable powered by a zk-STARK VM for Web 3.0.

After the announcement of Gavin Wood yesterday, the community is very excited.

While waiting for more updates, let’s come to the next project selected for 2021 Web 3.0 Bootcamp.

Our #5 will be SubSocial Network.

SubSocial is an open platform allowing anyone to launch their own decentralized censorship-resistant social networks and marketplaces. Subsocial will help you create your own decentralized version of the popular sites they see today, such as Medium, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Discourse, Patreon, OnlyFans and more.

Their software uses the Substrate blockchain framework and IPFS for decentralized file storage. This enables personalized news feed and notifications, transparent reputation, full text searching, rich content formats, without sacrificing SEO (search engine optimization).

Using Substrate also allows Subsocial to connect to the Polkadot and Kusama Networks. Polkadot is a next-generation blockchain protocol that unites an entire network of purpose-built blockchains, allowing them to operate seamlessly together at scale. Polkadot will provide cross-chain interaction as well as providing a shared security platform upon which Subsocial can scale whilst remaining secure.

SubSocial has 5 core features including: Serverless Public Timeline, Moderation, Roles & Permissions, Spaces as DAOs, User governance, and Treasury.

Using Substrate will allow Subsocial to connect to the Polkadot and Kusama networks. Polkadot will provide cross-chain interaction as well as providing a shared security platform upon which Subsocial can scale whilst remaining secure. This is social media unbounded.
