DOPs Project Director Avidan Abitbol on Selective Transparency, Strategic Partnerships, and the Future of Blockchain Privacy

In the latest AMA, Avidan Abitbol, DOP’s Project Director, shared important updates. Here are the key points:

DOP’s groundbreaking feature of selective transparency lets users control what data is visible on-chain, ensuring privacy for industries like finance, healthcare, and NFTs.

“We’re offering a level of control that no other blockchain project delivers. Selective Transparency is huge for privacy-focused use cases,” Avidan said.

This feature will give businesses the ability to manage sensitive data while benefiting from blockchain’s transparency.

DOP’s collaboration with DMC (Decentralized Music Chain) will power NFT ticketing for festivals and music concerts, where Selective Transparency ensures secure transactions without exposing private details.

“Our partnership with DMC showcases how our tech enhances privacy while embracing blockchain,” Avidan said.

More partnerships are on the horizon after engaging with companies at TOKEN2049 and Korean Blockchain Week.

DOP’s ongoing partnership with Hacken reinforces the platform’s security. With regular audits and a Bug Bounty Program, DOP stays ahead of threats. The project earned the Hacken Security Award for 2024.

“Security is non-negotiable for us. Hacken ensures we remain a trusted platform,” Avidan emphasized.

The DOP Grants Program allows developers and the community to submit and ote on proposals through the DAO, shaping the future of DOP.

Varmeta brings end-to-end services, from consultation to implementation, and their proposal has been selected through the DOP Grants Program for community voting.

The DOP Grants Program empowers creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators to achieve true ownership and control of their personal data. After thorough evaluation and feasibility checks, we are ready to move forward—if the proposal passes the community vote.

Funding for the implementation will come from the program’s allocation in $DOP tokens.

Update on Gas Fees for DOP Transactions 🚨

We have an update regarding gas fees within the DOP protocol.

💸 What’s Changing? When initiating transactions in the DOP protocol, an initial gas fee is required. Any additional actions, such as confirming or canceling transactions, will now incur an extra network fee, payable in the network's native token (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon).

✨ Cost-Saving Tip! To help reduce costs, we recommend using the Polygon network, where gas fees are significantly lower, making follow-up actions more affordable. If you have any questions, please refer to our updated FAQ section or reach out to our support team.
