U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon in New York said that the bankruptcy court that first agreed to the settlement, did not have the legal authority to release the family from liability.
Attorney General Merrick Garland, the head of the Justice Department which had appealed that settlement plan, said he was 'pleased' with McMahon's ruling."

- Since approximately May 2002, members of the Queens-based Cid-Hernandez Sex Trafficking Organization allegedly engaged in the sex trafficking of young women and minor girls and the promotion of prostitution. Cardona, Cid Dominguez, Hernandez Morales and Zarate Morales used force, threats of force, fraud and coercion to cause young women and minor girls from Mexico to engage in prostitution in the United States.
- Members of the organization pressured the victims to travel to the United States with false promises of employment and a better life. Once smuggled into the U.S., the victims were forced to engage in prostitution. The young women and minor girls were transported to prostitution clients throughout the State of New York.
- The Godinez Prostitution Business also regularly caused women to be transported from a location in Queens to various locations, including Brewster, New York, for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. 🚨Texas Man Gets Nearly 4 Years In Prison For Attacking US Marshal During Portland Antifa Riot🚨
🔹Jacob M. Gaines, 24, was sentenced to 46 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release, for assaulting a Deputy U.S. Marshal with a construction hammer during a July 2020 riot in Downtown Portland.
🔹7/11/20~1:00am : Gaines used a hammer to break through a barricaded entrance at the Hatfield Federal Courthouse. Marshals came out of the bldg. to stop him. Gaines struck one of the deputies 3 times with the hammer. The deputy deflected the blows to prevent serious injury, but was struck in the shoulder, neck & back. While being struck, the deputy held onto Gaines while other officers handcuffed & arrested him.

Defense is beginning to present it's case.
To start off the day, Judge Nathan ruled that the defense witnesses will NOT receive the same identity protection that the government witnesses did.
Important note is that the government made it clear in pre-trial deliberations for months leading up to the beginning of the trial exactly how many witnesses they would be calling that were under protection. They had even submitted to both the defense and the judge documents which broke down in plain English how each victim and witness should be referred to, in order to protect their identity. These documents were reviewed and accepted by the judge and defense weeks before trial began.
The defense only recently asked for their witnesses to have the same identity protection -- last week, which was 2 weeks into the trial.

Part 1 of her testimony.
Ms. Espinosa testified that she was hired by Epstein's company, she signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement upon employment and that she'd met "Jane".
The defense used Ms. Espinosa to enter into evidence headshots signed by protected witness Jane, as well as former castmates from a soap opera she'd been on.
The exhibit was not noted as to whether or not it was sealed. The defense has now made numerous attempts to show Jane's protected identity to the court - during the prosecutions case they used Jane's real name on multiple occasions.

🔹Heather Carriker, 48, of Nevada, is accused of flying a 9-year-old girl across the country so CNN producer John Griffin could sexually abuse the young girl while she joined in.
🔹Police in Henderson, Nevada, arrested Carriker in August 2020 on two counts of child abuse, two counts of sexual assault against a child under 14 and one count of lewdness with a minor under 14,
🔹Henderson police said they launched an investigation into Carriker last year, after a witness found text messages & photos on the woman's cellphone that raised concerns.
🔹Carriker’s next court hearing is scheduled for December 22 in Henderson Justice Court.

🔹In September, after a 5-day trial, a federal jury found Boam guilty of 16 counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child & possession of child pornography.
🔹In 2019, authorities obtained a search warrant for Boam’s iCloud account. Investigators found that Boam had attempted to produce, by secretly recording, 36 sexually explicit videos of a 14-year-old child & that Boam had possessed those videos. 🔹Jones was charged in a superseding indictment in April 2019. He pled guilty in November 2019 to one count each of distribution of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, transportation of minors for prostitution or other illegal sexual activity, and coercion and enticement.

🚨🚨Former Defense Contractor Arrested On Federal Espionage Charges
🔹John Murray Rowe, Jr., 63, of Lead, South Dakota, a former employee of multiple cleared defense contractors, was arrested in South Dakota for attempting to communicate classified national defense information to aid a foreign government.
🔹Rowe spent nearly 40 years as a test engineer for multiple security cleared defense contractors. He held various national security clearances up to top secret, working on matters relating to the U.S. Air Force’s aerospace technology. After committing a number of security violations & revealing a fervent interest in Russian affairs. Rowe was identified as a potential insider threat & terminated from employment.
🔹In March 2020, Rowe met with an FBI employee operating in a covert capacity & posing as an agent of the Russian government. Over the course of the next 8 months, Rowe exchanged over 300 emails with the purported Russian agent, confirming his willingness to work for the Russian government and discussing his knowledge of classified information relating to U.S. national security & military interests. In one email, Rowe explained, “If I can’t get a job here then I’ll go work for the other team.” In another email, Rowe disclosed national defense information classified as SECRET that concerned specific operating details of the electronic countermeasure systems used by U.S. military fighter jets.

GRETNA, La. (WVUE) - In a court hearing Thursday, prosecutors against a former pastor and New Orleans Arc Director Stephen Sauer say they found over 100 disturbing images of possible sex crimes victims.
According to prosecutors, Sauer sent a personal hard drive off to New York to have it repaired in July. The New York District Attorney’s Office reportedly discovered over 100 images of men in various states of duress and undress.
💥Sauer was arrested on Mon., Dec. 13 in Jefferson Parish.
Prosecutors say the photos show men either asleep, unconscious, or appearing to be intoxicated.
💥While executing a search warrant at Sauer’s Metairie home, detectives say they found sleeping medications, syringes, and pills.
💥More photos were discovered with male ejaculate on victims’ faces, male genitals in victims’ mouths, and victims’ genitals exposed in “compromised positions.”
💥💥At least one person in the pictures has claimed to have been sexually assaulted.
💥💥Prosecutors say Sauer’s home and car are visible in the background of the photos.
💥💥💥The defense team pointed out that none of the victims were underaged and asked for no more than a $5,000 bond.
***The presiding judge set a $75,000 bond in total for five counts of video voyeurism and one count of sexual battery.
If a bond can be made, Sauer will only be able to go to work, his mother’s home, or other necessary places.
****Sexual battery is a crime in Louisiana punishable by up to 10 years in prison upon conviction. ***Video voyeurism is punishable by up to two years on each count upon conviction.

***The presiding judge set a $75,000 bond in total for five counts of video voyeurism and one count of sexual battery.
If a bond can be made, Sauer will only be able to go to work, his mother’s home, or other necessary places.
****Sexual battery is a crime in Louisiana punishable by up to 10 years in prison upon conviction. ***Video voyeurism is punishable by up to two years on each count upon conviction.
***Again, more victims are expected to be uncovered.
