This is happening now in Kfar HaShiloach (Silwan - East Jerusalem). The first video shows Arabs throwing objects at a van full of Jews. The other 2 videos show the Magav police forces entering the area to deal with various groups of terrorists again tonight. This is a nightly occurrence.

Amazing as usual!!! About an hour ago I posted on Facebook about a disabled couple who had almost nobody attend their wedding tonight and that the family asked that people can come help them celebrate, well a load of amazing people got out there to help them…

Another great video surfaced from the wedding last night which hundreds of people attended after almost none of the invited guests arrived to the wedding of a couple with disabilities.

In the video you see Magav border police officers who arrived to celebrate with them. So amazing!

See the post I made last night here.

The U.S. and the Holocaust - Part 1 of 3

This is a new documentary by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein.

It is a three-part, six hour series that examines America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the twentieth century. Americans consider themselves a “nation of immigrants,” but as the catastrophe of the Holocaust unfolded in Europe, the United States proved unwilling to open its doors to more than a fraction of the hundreds of thousands of desperate people seeking refuge. Through riveting firsthand testimony of witnesses and survivors who as children endured persecution, violence and flight as their families tried to escape Hitler, this series delves deeply into the tragic human consequences of public indifference, bureaucratic red tape and restrictive quota laws in America. Did the nation fail to live up to its ideals? This is a history to be reckoned with.

Great version of "Yoducha Raayonai" which is a song us Mizrachi Jews sing exactly like this on Shabbat.

It was written by Rabbi Israel ben Moses Najara who was born in the Ottoman Empire in 1555 in Tsfat (Palestine). Fun fact: There was also no such thing as Palestinians back then 😂

He was also the Rabbi of Gaza at the time and even lived in Damascus.

The guys singing this version are Yemenites.

These 2 songs we Mizrachi Jews sing on Shabbat. The songs are Agadelcha and Yoducha Rayonai.

The singer in these videos is David D'Or who is a classically trained opera style singer who has Libyan ancestry. So he mixes classical type vocals with Mizrachi style. He once sang live with the famous Haredi singer Avraham Fried.

Shabbat Shalom
