Some pics I took of my latest trip to Haifa in the Germany Colony neighbourhood and some surrounding areas. This place at night is really amazing and the atmosphere is perfect.
There is a mix of Jews and Arabs here, mainly very wealthy Christian Arabs. Literally all of the expensive and exotic cars that are parked in this street or that drove past here are owned by Arabs. I even got a pic of a "Palestinian" Arab who drove past in his new Land Rover Discovery.
All in all it's a very safe area, very welcoming and upmarket. Unfortunately because it is a major attraction for tourists on Shabbat, almost none of the restaurants are kosher because they are open on Shabbat but it is still nice to be here.

Last night I made a post about a supposed attack in Tulkarem against an IDF soldier but I deleted it as it was under investigation and turned out that sadly 20 year old IDF Staff Sgt. Natan Fitoussi was tragically killed last night by "friendly fire" near the Judea and Samaria security barrier.
He left his post to go pray Arvit and upon returning in the dark, his friend thought he was an armed terrorist and so shot him, of course accidentally. My heart goes out to the family and the friend who accidentally killed him.
The family of the deceased soldier have asked people to not put any blame on the soldier who accidentally killed their son.

You just have to love Chabad!! They are truly amazing!
I was in Haifa for a night this week and I completely forgot to bring my Tefillin and Tallit to pray Shacharit in the morning and so I saw there is a Chabad house on the street I was staying in. I went inside and the Russian Rabbi was giving a Torah lesson to 2 ladies. I apologetically told him my situation and asked if I could borrow them and return them the next day. Without hesitation he got his son to give me a brand new unused pair of Tefillin and brand new Tallit, took down my number and let me walk out with these 2 very expensive items.
Thank you Chabad!

Yesterday I took my son to the Israel Train Museum in Haifa as it was the 70th birthday of the Israel Railways.
They have trains there that were captured from the Egyptians, and trains from the days of Ben Gurion which he personally rode in with other VIPs such as the Queen of Belgium. In addition there are British military trains that were made of concrete which they used to fight against the Arabs during their revolt.
