Tonight I attended and documented a ceremony called Hachnasat Sefer Torah which is when a new Sefer Torah has been completed being written and it is paraded in the streets and then donated to a synagogue. The Sefer Torah was paid for by my wife's cousin and was written by his son.
I am busy processing the long video I took but for now enjoy the pics of the ceremony before the street parade. I will post the video tomorrow.

What an incredible experience I had last night!! So great to see random people from the area come out to celebrate a new Sefer Torah.
Click here or here to see the short version of the video I took with highlights of the ceremony and mitzvah I took part in called Hachnasat Sefer Torah which is when a new Sefer Torah has been completed being written and it is paraded in the streets and then donated to a synagogue. The Sefer Torah was paid for by my wife's cousin and was written by his son.
If you do skip through the video then please definitely watch from 4 minutes 40 seconds in the video, it's the full ending that I kept in as I loved it so much.
I will put a link to the full version of the video on YouTube here once it is completed processing.

IDF soldier touching moment!
A few days ago the IDF Nachal Brigade had their ceremony when soldiers get their berets after a grueling beret march (Masa Kumta) and at this ceremony the mother of a lone soldier from Argentina came to surprise him after not seeing each other for more than 1 year.

Amazing moment and video, by my friend Dudi Kepler, of a Jewish woman performing the female mitzvah of Hafrashat Challah (Separating the challah) at the tomb of Rabbi Meir (Baal HaNes) in Tiberias.
The Torah tells us in Bamidbar 15:20 "From the first of your dough you shall set apart challah."
My wife does this mitzvah every month as she makes our bread.
See another post I made about this last year:
