This is an IDF combat soldier of the Givati Brigade named Eviatar, who was very badly injured 3 weeks ago in a car accident in which he broke 5 vertebrae in his neck and spine also had a concussion. (I personally broke my neck in my early 20s also, so I know how this feels).
His commanders and members of his IDF unit did not give up on him and did not leave him alone for one moment. Last week at the "end of the track" course his unit completed, Eviatar arrived to receive his fighters pin (combat badge) and his commander was the one to give it to him himself.

Mazal tov to the 696 Magav border police fighters who received their green beret's last night at the Western Wall in Jerusalem after completing their difficult Masa Kumta (beret march).
They consist of males, females, Jews, Druze, Muslim Arabs, and Christian Arabs. An extra well done goes out to the Arabs as they volunteer to serve, it is not mandatory, so well done for doing the right thing and for choosing to risk your life in defence of the citizens of the Jewish state.
In a few weeks, the new fighters are expected to complete their training and join the corps units operating throughout the country, in the fight against terrorism, riots, serious crime in cities and rural areas. Magav have a very hard job to do.

This Arab man is from East Jerusalem and he works as a cleaner on the Israeli train. He recently found a cheque of 1 million shekels that was left on the train and he returned it to the owner after tracking him down.
He proudly said: "We are the cleaners, honest people and return anything we find. It's a good feeling to give back something that was lost".
