Veteran IDF combat soldier, Michael Zamir, tells his story of the 2nd Lebanon war.

During the war (2006), he was a 25-year-old combat medic in the Paratroopers Brigade. While on a mission, his platoon took shelter in a deserted building in Debel, Lebanon. A Hezbollah missile hit, inflicting serious casualties. As he began to administer first aid, another incoming rocket critically wounded the rest of the unit. This time, Michael was among them. Despite several broken bones & life-threatening injuries over his entire body, he continued to help his fellow soldiers. At the same time as carrying them one by one to a safer area, he single-handedly took on the enemy in a firefight.

Even with his heroic efforts, Michael could not save his 11 friends. He was the sole survivor. He suffers from severe PTSD.

He was awarded the highest commendations for his courageous actions under fire.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has completed the production of the Eitan APC for operational use in the IDF Nahal Brigade.

This 8-wheeler is capable of carrying 12 IDF combat soldiers and reaches a speed of about 90 km/h.

Yesterday Haredim from Mea Shearim who were protesting against the desecration of Jewish graves in the Gilo neighborhood were attacked and harassed by Arab security guards & workers of the municipality there and they appear to enjoy abusing them.

The bigger issue here is that the Israeli leftist media didn't bother to cover this at all. Why? Because it wasn't an Arab being harmed.

This is an IDF combat soldier of the Givati Brigade named Eviatar, who was very badly injured 3 weeks ago in a car accident in which he broke 5 vertebrae in his neck and spine also had a concussion. (I personally broke my neck in my early 20s also, so I know how this feels).

His commanders and members of his IDF unit did not give up on him and did not leave him alone for one moment. Last week at the "end of the track" course his unit completed, Eviatar arrived to receive his fighters pin (combat badge) and his commander was the one to give it to him himself.
