Mazal tov!!

This is the commander of the elite police unit known as the Yamam, he has been give the great honour of lighting one of the torches for the Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day) ceremony. He will attend with a face mask on so as to not expose himself.

The amount of stuff these guys do to protect us is off the charts, you don't even hear about half the things, not even from me.

One of my favourite Israeli singers is Raviv Kaner - he made the following post below after the terrorist attack last night in Tel Aviv. Raviv served in an elite IDF unit called Egoz and during the 2014 war in Gaza he saw many of his friends die around him, he developed post trauma from that.

On his page he writes:

"Attack after attack I am silent. Trying to find wise words for the surreal situation and to find a reason for this reality. A reality in which I feel I can not really help or contribute because I am not a policeman or a combat soldier anymore and yet I try to help through music. Call it post trauma. So trauma, that's the word.
And it is of an entire country that loses its citizens because of bloodthirsty terrorists who murder Jews just because they are Jews. So listen it's very simple. Death penalty for terrorists.
Deportation of the families of the terrorists from the country. That's what I want more than anything right now.

Baruch Dayan HaEmet

This was 35 year old Barak Lupen, the 3rd victim of last nights terror attack in Tel Aviv who was in a critical state. He was married and a father of three.

May his memory be a blessing and his blood avenged!
